None of the class items are exotic.
Not really my point.
My point is that if you want Exotic Cloaks, you also have to consider Exotic Titan Marks and Exotic Warlock Bonds. You can't consider cloaks in a vacuum, you have to think about all three classes, and you have to think about how Class items fit into the structure of how armor works as a whole.
Class items don't have stats (other than what you can get from inserting mods). How do you want to balance that against other exotics that do have stats?
They're a piece of a whole. They don't stand alone.
my man, exotic armors are all class exclusive
It's not even just a matter of balance but the fact that class items has no stats means that once you've acquired one there's nothing to chase which in turn means there's nothing to drive engagement.
Even that would be a welcome addition. Instead of having rep gain being through the seasonal armor (like the seraphic armor right now, +5% rep gain per piece, you just get a cloak/mark/bond that does a flat +15% or something) so I can still keep my crafted armor that I like the way it is :D
