I'm playing this game since Shadowkeep and I always heard how this community is welcoming etc. but after 4000 hours I almost never encountered a positive/nice person.

70% of my games was with LFG. Either they were generally toxic, leaving or saying mean things because we wipe. Saying homophobic/racist ♥♥♥♥ being edgy in general or there were even people who were screaming at me cause I played without mic almost all the time in raids, even if I kwtd.

LFG discord don't care about banning most of the people with evidence most of the time so I start making my own posts and inviting them to my own Discord server. In under the 1.5 year I blocked and banned over 150+ people.

Maybe it's bad luck but I don't have positive experience with any of the clans too.

I'm not gonna mention Bungie forum and some of the Twitter account of sad people making their entire personality just hating on D2 and everyone who plays it.

its usualy friendly if u can actualy do the raid properly ive somehow managed to only encounter toxcicity on the gos raid every other raid its a vibe

edit- i just noticed the no mic line thats probably y ppl hate u mic is kinda essential for raids unless ur farming 1 encounter

That's their problem, I kwtd I'm typing vallouts fast enough. I had maybe like 50 raid clears from 300 with no mic.

You might be typing the call-outs fast enough but that also means that the others have to read and react fast enough versus the instant recognition and feedback of voice chat. I'm not saying your bad but the blame game naturally comes up when things start to go wrong and the "no mic guy" is an easy scape-goat.

News to me as I don't use it personally because I'm not the kind of person to seek it out but I've heard of it being welcoming and less toxic so I said something about it. I personally use d2lfg discord and while I'm shy I eventually got used to the microphone thing over time and I've only had one terrible encounter that I got out of right away but not fast enough to avoid an n word. So I guess the best I can do is to suggest leaving toxic groups right away, you can usually get a feeling about them and if there are any hints then just leave because the worst thing is that you'll just have to find another group which isn't hard to do most of the time. For example I was already getting annoyed that this group of 5 I joined was already talking about me as an object instead of a person but I decided to leave when one of them started trash talking my loadout for the security encounter of DSC so I made mistake of pulling my ghost out to orbit and then the flood gates opened ending with the n word before I could disconnect from the voice chat but my point is there will always be those kinds of people out there waiting and if you get a bad feeling then just quit. Out of my about 100 raid runs I've hit like 2 or 3 bad eggs with only the one being memorable.

This community has seen bungie taking the most garbage decisions in order to ruin the game and do some legal scam, still they defend bungie and if someone says that bungie do not deserve any trust and do not deserve any support they attack him/her.

Welcome to the internet. People talk ♥♥♥♥ behind the keyboard, but won't back up their ♥♥♥♥ talking irl usually. It's best just to leave and move on and find people who aren't super toxic. The funny thing is, Bungie uses P2P as part of their networking. So, have fun with that one. And before Dante/the mod asks, no I'm just stating the fact that it doesn't make them as anonymous. Not saying one should go to that extreme.

Even after exposing Pip1n with evidence that he is a pedophile and that people like Mijago and Sanctuary mods protected them and banned ANYONE who said that they are doing that.

Sanctuary moderation was always bad, but this another level. Reminder this server advertise it self as safe space.

Most people I met were neutral as in just not talking at all and also not responding to chat messages. Thats a step from unfriendly though. I joined one raid once on the US side and they were friendly even though I failed they didnt want to kick me.

It's that really protecting them though? The mods probably just don't want that drama to start and get out of hand so they prevent it in the first place, the mods here would do the same thing if you started a thread about it.
