For fun I like to sprint around, jump, land into a slide and then continue running. It's all down to the timing.
A slide is there to put you into the crouch position, its not meant to be a movement tool to keep sprinting momentum.
NSS. I would know. And the movement is still trash. I would atleast ask for the option to change it.
No, I actually missed that in the top post lol.
I want to have the option to change toggle running to hold shift to run
and if possible after sliding the guy wouldn't just stop if you keep holding shift and run.
Right now because it is toggle, you will have to click shift for the guy to continue running after sliding. And that is where I died many times because it took me 600 hours to understand it is toggle running and not a completely scuffed movement system.
I couldn't find it.
It's sounds like you want to just be sprinting constantly, does key bindings allow two actions on a single key? If so, setup forward and sprint on W and see if that helps.
As for sprinting straight after a slide; I'd suggest going outside and trying that on the lawn, see how well you can recover after the slide lol. Seriously though, you'll get the timing eventually with a bit of play time.
A game that requires you to chain more keys/ moves/ actions together constantly to do something successfully, in my eyes, takes a lot more skill.
Well, having now quite a few years in gaming and some 600 hours in Destiny 2, I still wouldn't want that. Just take the perfectly smooth movement from Apex and have it in this game, I like flying but most of all, I like when my character doesn't stop sprinting in the midst of a firefight.
