cant alt+tab back into game

i have been having this problem where i can't alt+tab back into the game after alt+tabbing out. this is also very inconsistent, and somethimes i will not have this problem, ie. in orbit or playing gambit (for some reason). this has been happening since i updated my computer to windows 11, and, initially, i thought it was because some of the files did a weird transfer, but after uninstalling the game and reinstalling, not much has changed.

Fullscreen bug. Try switching to windowed fullscreen instead.

If it's happening every time then try playing as windowed full screen instead of exclusive full screen.

Sometimes when you can't alt+tab back into a game you can click the icon on the task bar to get back into the game.

sometimes it doing that, but you can get in game idk was it hover icon/or click icon once on taskbar and press ALT+ enter, then it goes to windowed fullscreen and in game change back to fullscreen.

That is a known Windows OS bug, not Destiny.

its windows 11.

windows 11 is still not as bug free as windows 10 at this point in the patch cycle.

I believe pressing Alt+Enter fixes it

Can confirm it's a Windows 11 bug, had it with a couple other games when attempting to alt-tab with full screen settings.

Running the games in windowed-full screen seems to have resolved the issue.

just happened to me as well. Wow the game is really buggy af.
Menu melts while matchmaking and so on...

If this happens you can open task manager, go to Destiny, click on the drop down, and right click on the new Destiny and click bring to front or switch to.

The few times I've run into it I fixed it by pressing alt+enter to change it to windowed mode and then back.
