PC Destiny 2 needs a UI shortcut directly to the local map
The title says it all. The other UI shortcuts go to other BS. Anyone have a fix?

That's a default they don't allow you to alter. My M takes me to the quest menu, and no UI keybindings have changed it.

It only takes you to the quest menu when you've just received a new quest otherwise should show you the map of the current location.

No shortcut or key will get me to the local map in any condition. Maybe it's something I did when I set bindings, but I'm locked out of the option for a quick key local map.

"Open director" is the binding for map, mine defaulted to quest over and over. Sorry for the stupid question.
You can also press, and hold the button to bring out your ghost, which will take you to the map director

You actually can change it.
Win + R > %appdata%
Go to Bungie folder and find cvars.xml
find <cvar name="ui_open_director" value="m!unused" />
and change m to what you want.

This sounds like a solid technical answer to do the same thing. I believe the confusing part was that they have an array of menus, and to not designate it as the local map, and instead the director throws off what you think you're setting for your UI.

Though something must've gotten goofed in your controls if M is bringing up quest log...because as mentioned before, M brings up the local map for fast travel etc

The only way it'll bring up a quest is if you press M while a quest is updating (the banner pops up on the right hand side and says "Press M for more info")
