Why are all the ingame chats so dead? I have not sent a single message nor seen one. Satisfying seeing the scrolling; even if you don't read it much.
Feels like I'm alone, yet, I play with others.

Because there is almost no reason to use it outside of fireteams and you need to join chat to begin with which people don't because of the first reason.

What do you mean join chat? Also I cannot hear people in voice chat at all.... so it's kinda tricky to communicate.

You have to switch chat channels from all to fireteam, etc

Also chat has been horribly bugged for the longest time and bungie hasn't done anything about it :)

if you dont have the auto join chat turned on, whenever you chat for first time you will see <your name> has joined the chat. If ppl dont join the chat they cant see chat

I'm talking about text chat, you have to join chat channels through /local and /team (different than fireteam) for example which people don't do because there isn't much reason to. Fireteam chat is always enabled by default is probably what 99% of text chat is in the game because its actually useful and everyone in the fireteam sees it.

It's kinda a shame really, would love to chat with rando's in the tower, have had fun conversations with rando's in MMO's, not saying Destiny is an MMO, but just to give an example.

how do i throw my daybreak projectiles for my super it wont let me all i get is flaming swords and it does nothing

I see no reason why we shouldnt have full blown voice chat in the tower with a mute option and if people dont like it they could set it to be deaf and its like nothing changed for them while everyone else can chat

Ingame VC sucks and has never worked right since coming to PC. Everyone uses Discord. Hell, Destiny even has an official discord server.

in game voice chat works just fine, use it everyday when not using discord.

its dependant on your connection and NAT type. bad connection bad voice, simpoles
