Shadowkeep: Quest Step 16 of 19. Beyond: Explore the Pyramid. Nightmare of the Fanatic has gone AWOL

I am doing Legacy: Shadowkeep Campaign. I have reached Step 16 of 19. Am inside the Pyramid and had finished stage 2 of the Ghaul Boss fight. The nightmare of the Fanatic died but I remained stuck in the room with no way out. My only option was to exit the game. Now... whenever I restart the quest, it takes me to the same room, but the room is totally empty. Just some smoke on the plinth where I assume the Fanatic should be. Again, the only option is to exit the game. I have tried restarting multiple times, but get the same result.
Please help as I cannot progress in the Shadowkeep Campaign.

Happened to me on 2 characters when i finished SK.
I think i jumped off some edge inside to kill myself and you spawn
at the beginning of the next section and are able to continue.

The problem, is I am in the 'indoors' circular room, which is surrounded by a wall too high to jump over. There are just a few small pillars in the room I can jump on, but not tall enough to fall to death from.

I even tried holding my breath for half an hour, but that didn't work either

I have made a post in the Bungie Help section, but I don't think they read the posts... let alone reply to them...

I have no idea if it will work, BUT you can use explosives to put yourself into ghost mode. A good gally round at your feet will do it for example.

Can also use an automatic gun with ricochet rounds.

Problem solved. After touching the Campaign Banner it whisked me to a different room that had ledges I could jump off. Died... went to next stage and completed that. Then got stuck in that room at the end as well. Rinsed repeated death after banner again and managed to complete the Campaign.
