Purchasing Witch Queen in Steam while playing through Xbox Game Pass

Hi, I own the previous DLC's through Xbox Game pass - the account are linked.
If I purchase the Witch queen DLC here (summer sale) - will it be available in the Xbox Game pass?

No. Expansion licenses are platform specific.

If you're going to play on the Xbox, then buy the Xbox version, do NOT buy the Steam version for the PC.

As far as I know, game pass no longer includes the old DLC. Anyway, no, steam purchases are not transferred to the Windows store version of the game

Do you launch the game through Steam or Xbox gamepass? It will probably be fine if you play it through steam, but I don't really know how linking accounts works.

I've kinda run into this issue but it's not affected me amazingly bad. I have most of the dlc on steam but get fps drop on certain activities and so end up doing those on Xbox. I don't have the dlc on Xbox but I haven't run into any issues with dlc on steam yet. It's just annoying that some days I can't play crucible or gambit on PC so end up having to complete this stuff on Xbox (Xbox controls are really clunky compared to M&K). Hopefully the dlc stuff won't run into FPS issues on Steam but I can't guarantee this isn't going to happen at some critical point.

Game Pass counts as being on the Xbox platform even if you are playing on PC.

Destiny 2 hasn't been on game pass for a while and expansions are platform exclusive. So either you actually bought them through Microsoft and should continue to do so or you no longer have access to them and can move characters to steam through cross save.

In Game Pass the 2 previous DLC's are included, the Witch queen isn't , but it is on steam sale, so....

XBOX GamePass no longer offers the DLC for free. That discontinued back in December.

If you downloaded those DLC before the end of their departure, they are still available even now.

I don't think that's how it works, are you sure you didn't just buy them?

Regardless the answer to your question remains the same, expansions are specific to their platform so if you bought witch queen on steam you wouldn't be able to access it through xbox or windows store.
