Something that's gotta be brought up about Red Border Weapons.

Bungie needs to tone down this Red Border grind.

We went from needing 3 Red Borders to get the recipe to now needing 5 Red Borders.

This mixed with RNG is terrible.

I've done so many of Season of the Haunted's activities from the start to now and have either been getting only Red Borders of the weapons I don't need them for or normal versions of the weapons.

This is also made worse by the fact that we don't know how Weapon Crafting for Seasonal Weapons will work once the Season is complete gone.

Like will the guns just drop from other activities or will it be better get them by the end or no crafted versions for you.

It was fine when we got a red border at the start of every week at the seasonal vendor, this season as well as dares is just not a fun time.

They're only meant as a back up plan if you don't get the god roll you want or if you really want to min max the perfect roll, they still want you grinding for weapons and not have everything quickly.

If they didn't want people to craft the weapons then wouldn't put achievements and exotics behind crafting weapons. The system is obnoxious

i play passively during seasonal content, i have verything from the past 2 seasons.

If you just log in once a week and play a few hours you can get all your garenteed drops.. it really doesnt take that long.

You own that weapon FOREVER, the grind is fine. Now you can dismantle for a pattern. whats the issue

the " iwant everything to be easy enough and reasonable for me crowd" needs to stop asking for the end game grinds to be lowered.

We can still get drops for previous weapons from the previous season. Red Borders for weapons that do provide a pattern (make sure to read the tool tip for the weapon wanted to unlock a pattern for because not all red borders mean that weapon can have a pattern. It will explicitly read "A pattern for this weapon cannot be extracted.")

As others have stated, not every weapon is 'meant' to be shaped. Sometimes a drop can contain just the right balance of perks where one does not need to shape it.

Shaping is just for the extreme OCD.

At the end of the day, all the time spent on it will fade. New weapons and upgrades come along eventually. So it's not a discussion the community (IMO) needs to vote on.

It's optional. You choose to do it or don't. If you choose, you know going in first thing, there's going to be a process involved.

Kids these days, everything has to happen RIGHT NOW! Sorry, that's just not how it works.

It's almost like you know... YOU GOT GOOD RNG AND GOT THE RED BORDERS YOU NEEDED.

And As I've said mine and many others RNG has given us the same Red Borders week after week.

I'm literally not asking for it to happen right now.

I'm asking for it to not be a ♥♥♥♥ system.

And no it's not just for "OCD" the system is something we PAY for and are getting ♥♥♥♥♥♥ over because of how ♥♥♥♥ the system is.

I have literally been grinding Season of the Haunted activities for hours every week since the Season originally started and I have so many of the weapons with only one red borders earned for them or none at all because all my Guaranteed drops I got were for the guns I already got 5/5 Red Borders for and the only guns I have ♥♥♥♥♥♥ 5/5 for are the ones I keep getting red borders for or the ones I've managed to get through the red borders we can buy each week.

Also you say this isn't a discussion for the community to have but guess what?

The community disagrees as the other day I saw a post that was the same thing this one is on the Reddit and it was one of the top posts with over 6 Thousand Upvotes on the day I saw it so....

Yep, can't argue with that like I said in my other comment it should be 100% optional.

4/5 on the season's scout rifle and the smg. honestly i don't think the crafting is bad perse but the alloys part kinda is. But this part is where i'm gonna say, i'd rather not play the same stuff for x amount of hours for the same activity just to get bored later down the line for a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ godroll when i can just get it crafted and that over with. the issue is burning out very quickly.Even if a break is taken.Some stuff i can tolerate for hours like grinding lost sectors for a new exotic.

Honestly I'd rather not have the crafting at all, Farming for God Rolls is most of what End game is about, having Crafted weapons takes away from it, I think it makes a bit more sense for seasonal weapons that will never be available after their time is up but even still, I don't really care that the grind for them is long.
