NightHawk Should be one of the highest damage supers in the game

With the new solar 3.0 you'd think NightHawk would be the best burst super next to Tcrash but its not even close, testing has proven that Blade barrage is more then 3x the damage then NightHawk. Something that condenses a shot into one shot and can hit a weak point should do way more damage then a super thats mainly used for AOE AD clear kinda dumb in my opinion.

blade barrage in return is a bit unreliable imo

First of all, Blade Barrage ideally does double the damage of ideal nighthawk.

Second, nothing is stopping you from using the same exotic giving BB its damage and using it with GG.

Well of course I'll still use NightHawk, but you'd think something that has single target damage would do more then AOE damage?

Tried that, hit a Vex in the back of the head in D1 while playing D2.

You do realize there are a bunch of buffs that go into dps comparisons right? Its not all simple and linear. To get the ideal dps you'd need damage buff and stareater scales which requires you to have gotten 8 orbs of light. Now granted its not hard to get said orbs of light but nighthawk requires no preparation and can be used and pretty much any time to full effect. That being said you can also just use stareaters to get the same damage buff and use it for golden gun. Also assuming you hit every knife in the blade barrage.

Probably because it was strong for so long. Bungie tends to nerf things when there's enough complaints. They did pretty much imply they were reworking parts of hunters at the end of last season. One being that nerf to the one boots.

Well, one of the main uses for it originally was in D1 at the end of Crota to shoot the thing in the sky. I'd rather have the Don't Touch Mes or those boots that gave the additional jump from D1. Even the Khepri's Sting was better in D1. A lot of D1 hunter stuff was better than what's in D2.

the exotic isn't the issue, the damage of the super is otherwise star eaters would work on it like it makes blade barrage the top damage.

I was going to work on my Hunter, but which is worse at the moment? Hunter or Warlock with solar 3.0?

warlock, hunter basically plays the same, but slower and night hawk is kinda poop
