Is this game ok to play solo or with random online players?

Hi guys, is this game ok to play solo or with random online players? I read that some parts of the game you "must" have a friend squad to play.

You can play most of this content solo, the only real thing you need to form a team for are the Raids which simply cant be completed without a team (theres no matchmaking for raids). Itll probably be a good idea to play certain difficulty levels of stuff with a team too but most of its manageable solo or just random queuing.

So, besides the fun factor, if I dont play this "raids" I loose something important ou nice, like exclusive drops or new weapons?

Yes, there are armor and weapons tied to the raids, you would miss out on those. Whether its important is up to you because the guns you get outside of raids are just as powerful if not more powerful (in my opinion) than most of the raid weapons that drop.

On the other hand, if you did invest time into raids, there is a currency you obtain that can be used to unlock exotic weapons from past raids instead of just being tied to gettting the exotics from the latest raid.

There is and always will be a level of FOMO in Destiny, but you dont need to do the raids to enjoy the game or have a wow factor. Now if you are talking about staying F2P, then you will miss out on a lot and can only do so much solo that way.

There are some Good players in the Game, and you can tell how they are if they help in what you want to accomplish If they do not then they are just Tag along want to be's. You don't need friends, you can enjoy everything as a lone wolf assuming you're okay with joining other players when needed whether its through match making for most activities or needing to use lfg tools for end game such as raids, dungeons, or master tier activities.

Its not that dramatic, we got something like 50 new weapons and only 7 weapons from the raid including the exotic but that gets even lower if you don't care about the type of weapon or its perks.

You can play alot solo yea but arguably the most fun parts of the game do require you make a team

I have over 4k in D2, and I never really played Raids, until I got sleeper simulant and needed one Raid to get the catalyst.

Also in Beyond light Raid I wanted that Bequest sword, Im more of a sword person :D

so i forced my self to use mic and do it. I also joined some clan later and got carried a little and learned the tactics.

My lastest atempt was for Vex mythoclast, fusion rifle, its in Vault of Glass raid, here i had to look in Destiny2 app to find a fireteam by final boss, luckly I got the gun on 4th try..



Overall, you wont be missing out much, but if you really want to try, then that Destiny2 companion or LFG is your answer, and youtube videos how to do some raids, esoterrickk has some good D2 content.

Realistically the raid loot is nice to have and some can be unique like the wave frame grenade launcher being able to have ambitious assassin to load 2 into the tube and chain reaction to make enemies explode but there is so much loot in the game that its easy to find other stuff to use.

bungie is the king of anti solo balancing, you can solo anything but dungeons, raids, and higher difficulty nightfalls though some public events and strikes are a pain in the you-know-what to solo though there are freaks/aliens out there who can solo anything but raids, I wouldn't hold my breath on the latter advice if I were you as these guys are from another planet while you, I and the others are from earth and don't have the capabilities of these extraterrestrial life forms

tl/dr you can solo anything but dungeons, raids, higher difficulty nightfalls and some public events and strikes
