Everytime i see a titan in the air headed towards me i pretty much just throw a couple of obligatory shots in his direction while i wait for death to arrive in the form of a titan shaped electric cruise missile.
Damn thing seems to go through walls as well.
I tried out arc titan for a bit myself to see if im just being dramatic, but no, that ability picks off people in a relative massive radius.
But yeah, i have not really had the same issue with nova bomb, i cant even remember the last time i died to a nova bomb that was not smashed into my skull at close to point blank range, or thrown at me while im to tunnel visioned to notice.
Although, most warlocks i run into tend to be solar while most titans i run into are arc, which means the chances of getting a thundercrash to the face is alot higher than getting nova bombed, so my perception might be a bit skewed.
Food for thought, they don't have to hit you to kill you. They only have to fly by you and you die after the impact. Kinda silly, well very silly, but it's not exactly like bungie cares too much for balance. Thank your stars you weren't around (Maybe you were) in season 8/9 when the one eyed mask made titans invulnerable.
But no, i was not around for the whole one eyed mask debacle, i started playing destiny 2 at the ass end of last season, and did not really start doing pvp until Iron banner this season.
Meaningless, in that ya unless something is beyond stupidly borked beyond design intent, theres been simply a gradual leap frogging of feats and perks powercreep the whole time. thats how the game progesses the way i see it.
toons from now would mop the floor 1000% of the time vs first season toons absolutely.
so its the carrot you will always chase. thats what this system is for from what i see. get chewed up get butt hurt. pay a hunnerd bucks for the new expansion fomo rifle.
What exactly does a titan sacrifice to "spec" into thundercrash? I mean, they need to be arc ofc, but its not like the rest of the arc tool set is weak compared to what the other sub classes bring to the table, i would say its quite strong all things considered.
But i dont play titan all that much so i might be missing something here.
Edit:
Actually, when i think about it, its not like arc titans go arc because of thundercrash specifically, they go arc for the combination of a good tool set AND a strong super.
Not "Fry everything you fly by!" good, sorry but no, it also hits behind walls which is also no. They made the radius too big and with the new arc stuff this season, the attack is out of control.
But its not like im expecting anyone relevant to the balancing process to actually read this and go "Huh, this Gorenuke fellow has a point, better get right on that thundercrash balancing."
This is more of a "God, if i get hit by one more FRIGGIN thundercrash this game i am going to really complain about it on the internet" kind of thread.
