Which DLC was most disappointing?
I like to rewatch video reviews of the game time to time, and I see a lot of criticism about Warmind and Curse of Osiris.

Are those actually the worst? To me as a new light player, they seemed like lost chapters with a bit of missing context and maybe cliffhanger elements thrown in at the last second. Sad, yes. Deprecating to the game's core draw or hook? Not in my opinion.

Does the game pick up on that at all in Forsaken or Shadowkeep? Are those much better at delivering a narrative?

I hated the Osiris quest. Could have been interesting, but it was way too stretched out with dull dialogue and bad writing. Warmind was much better imo

I think generally CoO is considered disappointing, because of short story, one small planet and not many things to do overall. Warmind had better reception because of better location, better gear, escalation protocol and many things to grind out on Mars.

And Forsaken definitelly got best reception. Forsaken was not only pretty large in scope, it also delivered very good story campaign and very needed gear perk overhaul.

Personally I quite liked CoO, visually it was beautiful and it had great music. I bought it later in some pack with base game and Warmind though, I might have different evaluation if I was waiting for it and bought it separately.

Curse of Osiris, no question. Destiny 2 vanilla was pretty awful too but that wasn't a DLC.

Season of Dawn because it isn't here yet. :)

As a new light player that hasn't yet even paid for the game I still manage to find Curse of Osiris to be insulting as a (formerly) paid DLC. The map is tiny, the strikes are just reused story missions, and the prophecy weapons are an incredibly boring grind. Honestly, I feel sorry for long term players that paid for it on release.

Curse of Osiris was awful imo, and mercury is more wasted potential than io and titan combined

There is also no reason to go to mercury unless the strike playlist takes you there. At least Mars has stuff to do.

Curse of Oprices

Mercury's whole patrol zone is small enough to be a Crucible map, or at least Gambit map.

Hands down Curse of osiris.

Yeah, the majority of players will say CoO. It was the first DLC and we got ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in terms of content. Mercury is small as hell (not to mention you can't pull your sparrow out ><), strikes are lackluster and time consuming, and the "forged" weapons were just meh as hell. Warmind was definately a step in the right direction, and Forsaken or Shadowkeep will definitely be the best as yet.

Curse of Osiris, definitely worst DLC. Could have been a great addition if not rushed out before there was any substantial content.

Agreed.
At least there's a ton of stuff you can get with War Mind - sweet gear and awesome weapons.
