Only Season Pass is cross-platform.

Everything else is locked to the story you bought it on. Witch Queen, Shadowkeep etc.

Yes, simply claim, download, and open the game on epic, then, log into bungie's website, log in through steam, link your epic account to your bungie account (not to your steam account). Then, open the game on epic, and you'll have your current account. While launching from epic, you will be able to access 30th, but not other dlcs you own, and while launching through steam you will not be able to access 30th. Unfortunately this does require 2 destiny installations

Can't just point the Epic client to the Steam install folder?

Nope, the feature other clients have used for year just doesn't exist.

What about the other way and point the Steam install to the Epic folder location?

You need to install it in a different folder.
Go to Bungie site and link account to Epic before starting it.
Then you can play 30th Anniversary until you are done.
Resume on Steam.

You can put the files into the steam folder and steam should automatically try to discover the already installed files. https://youtu.be/F5tbA28b1eI

I have no Steam purchased DLC. Just maybe a DLC from Humble Bundle that was redeemed to Bungie account before it got changed to Steam. So if I go to Epic, I will have everything?

The download from Epic was in compressed file format. After it downloads the files it installs them. If there was a script installer, copying the files over wouldn't have made a difference.
