I haven't played Destiny 2 since October 2021, what did I miss?
Title says all really,

Any new lore that is worth reading and what events did I miss?

That is pretty much all you actually missed assuming you played all the content up to that point. The rest is the new expansion and season which you can play, new season is supposed to start next week.
