Why is cross play forced?
Just curious is the pc player base hurting for players? I only ask because for crucible you shouldn't be punished as a console player and have to play the sweatest pc players.

PvP crossplay is optional, only way you can play with/against pc players is if you have a pc player on your fireteam, and if you do console players only match with the pc player pool, no random solo players from PS or Xbox

I think its because it was a heavily requested feature from the players that left Xbox and moved to PC so they can continue to play with the Xbox friends.

afaik pvp doesn't have crossplay unless you are in a fireteam with a pc player.

Its really not, mouse has much more precision and can quickly move around and aim, it also still has bullet magnetism and doesn't need to worry about recoil/stability most of the time.

Last I checked, crosspay is only forced between consoles. PC will only ever get console players if a console player is in a fireteam with a PC player.

Only as far as aim assist is concerned. Contrary to popular belief though, AA isn't everything.

As it turns out, you just aren't very good at controller.

per steam charts D2 is doing better than almost every major shooter offered, especially the newest turds from 343i and DICE. 50k+ average players every day. So, not hurting. I haven't played in years but after looking at the stats I am downloading it now to jump back in. Very healthy player numbers for a shooter this old, has to be something to it.

I'd like to disable crossplay in Tower. It takes ages to load anything when there are other platform users present.
GhostDog May 10, 2022 @ 1:49pm
Cannot do anything at all in the Tower, not even dismantle anything. How are we supposed to get rid of the iron banner stacks now, Bungie?

I do just fine against other controller players, I shouldn't have to play against the sweaty 120 plus fps guys who live on crucible, just because the pc version wouldn't survive without the console player base.

You're jumping back in at the worst point in the season lol. 2 weeks left until season 17 but that only means the player base will explode again.

Don't have any interest in PvP.

But ... sometimes I want help doing something, and my son and his friends play on PS4s, so ... cross-play is pretty helpful for me.
GhostDog May 11, 2022 @ 4:02am
He, moderator, this is not an answer at all. For us, PC players, there is no way to turn the cross-play off. Every time someone brings console players as part of their fireteam, it's an insufferable lag-fest.
