Account hijacking by cross-save

My Steam account was recently stolen (which I already recovered) but when my Steam account was stolen they added Cross-Save to my Destiny 2 account, linking Xbox and Stadia accounts that are not mine, which the developer company ( Bungie) would not be able to help me unlink these accounts, thus rendering my account unplayable, as the person who has the Cross-Save accounts plays with my Destiny 2 profile, giving me a poor gaming experience. since every time I enter to play I realize that it modifies and eliminates my progress from my games.

Also how does your Steam account get stolen if they have to get into your email account first?

He propably was trying to use some kind of recovery services and got scammed.
