TWAB TLDR - Season 17 balance changes
Preface - it is a very long twab including specific numbers and some graphs so read full thing (link at bottom) if you want all the info, this is just what I personally think is worth mentioning:

Glaive:
- increase shield's damage resistance
- reduce shield drain speed
- increase pve melee damage
- increased projectile speed based on range stat
Exotic glaives get buffs such as:
- void overshield and helm of saint-14 syngery for titan
- increase speed of healing shots from warlock turret
- increase damage and aoe chain for hunter.

Flinch:
- weapon stability decreases flinch
- resilience character stat decreases flinch
- all resistances stack with each other
- go read all the specific numbers before you comment

Airborne Gunplay:
- new stat that determines innate "airborne effectiveness"
- airborne accuracy has been changed from being less accurate to having less aim assist
- so less randomness in where shots go but you'll need to be more precise when aiming
- can be fully "invested" into for no penalties to either accuracy or aim assist
- everything since witch queen is fine tuned as well as trials and nightfall loot
- everything before witch queen has a default value based on arch type.
- special ammo weapons have inherently lower airborne effectiveness
- icarus grip now adds to airborne effectiveness stat
- will be a hidden stat next season but hidden stats will be visible in season 18
- various exotic armors will increase this stat for all or specific weapon types
- stompees will have a huge penalty to this stat :)
- again there is a ton of specific info I left out, read before you comment/cry here

Reducing empowered rift, high-energy fire, and inertia override to 15% (in PVP) to reduce the ability for some weapons to 1 shot.

PvP item usage (my approximations):
- 40% stompee hunters, 30% opidian aspect warlock, 15% loreley titan
- 50% of special weapons are shotguns and 50% of those are lightweight frame
- 20% are fusion rifles with those being deliverance (raid) about 11%, likely suspect (WQ) at 30%, main ingredient (Xur) 30%
- 20% are sniper rifles
- go look at the graphs yourself

Special Ammo Weapons:
- disabled ammo scavenger in PvP, 1 brick = 1 ammo
- sniper rifles getting small handling buff across the board
- another blanket shotgun range nerf for both pellet and slug
- blanket fusion rifle range nerf because of the shotgun nerf
- high impact fusion buff and rapid fusion nerf
- blanket trace rifle PVE damage buff

Primary Weapons:
- small auto rifle range buff
- blanket pulse rifle range buff
- lightweight pulse bodyshot buff
- decreased high zoom smgs and increased low zoom smgs
- blanket range buff to compensate
- adaptive smg bodyshot nerf

Heavy Weapons:
- blanket machine gun damage buff
- increased the damage difference between rocket launcher types

Exotic Weapons:
- fighting lion blast radius and damage buff
- eyes of tomorrow damage buff against bosses
- leviathan's breath unstoppable and damage buff
- huckleberry buff from blank smg buff
- xenophage rpm change reverted
- grand overture unloads all rockets if trigger is held
- xenophage and grand overture do not get the boss damage buff from machine gun buff
- le monarque tick damage buff in PvE and nerfed in PvP
- lorentz driver reduced pvp body shot damage
- skyburner's oath ads is now hitscan while hip fire no longer tracks but does aoe burn
- last word k&m recoil *SLIGHTLY* reduced
- arbalest champion damage reduced, will still break barrier in one shot
- graviton lance catalyst changed to get vorpal and turnabout
- coldheart can spawn ability energy and can hold onto its peak damage for 1 second
- prometheus lens actually burns now
- wavespliter damage no longer cycles, picking up orbs of power increases damage for a time, and while powered up it surpresses the target.
- lord of wolves range nerf
- osteo striga projectiles will be "fixed" and rotated 90 degrees

Weapon Perks
- opening shot no longer increases damage falloff, range stat increase buff
- full choke nerf
- smoothbore buff
- desperado nerf with pve damage buff
- air assault reworked to increase airborne effectiveness while injured
- mulligan primary ammo buff
- compulsive reloader buff
- adagio shotgun nerf

Weapons leaving next season:

Iron Banner - Occluded Finality Sniper Rifle and Finite Impactor Hand Cannon

Nightfalls - The Comedian Shotgun and Palindrome Hand Cannon

Trials of Osiris - Shayura’s Wrath Submachine Gun and The Messenger Pulse Rifle

NEXT WEEK CHANGES:
- axion bolt grenade cooldown increase
- titan bastion barricade cooldown increase
- titan offensive bulwark aspect genade energy recharge decreased
- whisper of chains pvp nerf to damage resistance
- renewal grasps increases grenade cooldown and pvp damage deceased is decreased
