I didn't even think twice about Rumble until I started to play it. Then I wanted to barf.
But it did give me some unique insight into how matchmaker works. Among my first matches (while my "history" in Rumble was still unwritten and thus not used in matchmaker's distorted algorithm) I got some curious ones where there was a high content of AFK bots. In one early match the only human was horrid. I got a perfect 17 kills no deaths match on that one, killing all the bots with the grenade launcher. Nice, as it advanced that quest nicely, especially the "medal" part. The point being though... that it is pretty obvious that matchmaker is doing some weird stuff.
Eh, you could say that about the game in general. We all know that none of the "new" seasons hold anything substantial and are mostly reskinned content treading water until they announce Destiny 3, when you'll pay another $60+ to have all your progress and inventory wiped again.
That's the joke. My K/D is usually .00XX.
I even tried two season passes and frankly they weren't worth the measly $10 each. I don't plan to buy the next pass unless I see significant improvements.
And if Destiny 2 dies out in the meantime, there are other very good games to play.
Since when does PvP have the best PvE weapons. It has some great ones, for sure, but you can totally get by well with other ♥♥♥♥, especially forge and gambit weaps. TBH, the biggest draw to these weapons is the masterwork imo because it costs an arm and a leg and your firstborn to masterwork anything. And armor masterworks are even worse.
Recluse got nerfed, and if you're looking for close range burn sidearms are currently super poppin and will outdamage AND outrange Recluse. The Last Hope with Feeding Frenzy and Multikill clip is even more ruthless and can get like a .5 TTK in Crucible while decimating PvE since you can get precision hits super reliably. Also, the Exit Strategy and Pillager are both great kinetic alternatives. Subjunctive has 3 solid kill perks(Swash, Rampage, MK clip) while also being capable of rolling Outlaw.
Randy's is sweet but other scouts can roll with some nice stuff too, like Nightwatch(Rampage and Multikill clip) and No Feelings(Kill clip and Rampage).
Redrix...is outclassed. By a lot. If you want it at this point, it's for the flex. There are many other pulses that are nicer, like Adhorative and Blast Furnace.
Mountaintop I'll admit is pretty cash, mainly because all the other lightweight grenade launchers are very very few. Martyr's Retribution, while cool, isn't as strong or effective as the LW GLs that just go boom. And besides it, Mountaintop and the irrelevant ones are the only guaranteed LW GLs that exist. And MT comes with Spike Grenades, which works very well with its high velocity.
Militia's Birthright can roll Spike Grenades and Rangefinder as well, but also has some other unique options in AutoLoad and Quickdraw.
The Shaxxshot is the only clear winner here, but even then getting lucky enough for the Fighting Lion or another GL to do the quest itself is far from 100% favorable. GLs are just screwed from all sides
