Is anyone else getting sick of fusion rifles?
Now that shotguns have been greatly nerfed, it seems that fusion rifles have taken their place.

i have no "real concrete proof" to make any argument over this community so i just want to see if im not the only one

As opposed to what? Hand Cannon and shotgun?

I will be happy, when next season launches and people will drop their fusion rifles, due to the fact that partical acceleration will no longer be available.
Then I wil be one of the few, who are still using them.

With other words. No, I am not sick of them.

There will always be a "meta" gun.
And players wanting to win, will go with the meta.
Even if you somehow manage to make the gameplay so varied, that a gun being perfect for one situation will be next to useless in the majority of encounters (compared to today where close quarter engagements are so common that a loadout singlemindedly optimised for those is viable), a jack.of-all-trades-gun will become the new meta and everyone will run around with pulse rifles or high-impact-frame assault rifles...

I assume they're talking about pvp.

Bungie already took away my loaded question but at least now I have an adept plug one with reservoir burst and fusion rifle holster can do the auto reloading.

I will take a fusion over a shotgun, as the fusion's charge time at least let's me try to fight back.

As I have always said.

As soon as Bungie nerfs one thing, the next thing to take its place will be what people start complaining about, and they'll want that nerfed. Thus goes an endless cycle until the entire power fantasy that makes Destiny what it is gets destroyed.

Stop asking for nerfs. Ask for additional options to get buffed and more maps that encourage different weapon types to be made.

fusions will roll out of the meta in February in favor of whatever the next seasonal artifact / focus weapon group is for Bungie. We haven't had snipers in a while and pulses need some love.

The reason is because of the seasonal artifact.

Particle Deconstruction is the meta for high dps quick kill with Linear or Fusion.

Same why we are running Auto / Pulse / Bow / even sometime sidearm in endgame content, because of the champion.

You cannot change that because Bunge "forced" you to do that. If you dont use it, then you will have a lower DPS and lower optimal damage

Chaperone still slaps to me idk what you are talking about.

Fusions in PvP are one of the more balanced options. There are a couple that can be a bit silly (main ingredient) but on mass they are pretty well balanced.

Chaperone has silly range and requires little to no actual input to use. Just stick in a targeting mod or two and you're set. Precision frame shotguns can map currently too.

People just hate when the shotgun/handcannon meta is under pressure from other weapon types. Just to remind you we have pretty much been in a handcannon/shotgun meta since shadowkeep, with maybe 2 instances where very briefly another weapon type has shown up.

"More maps"

Lol, as if. They'll take away more maps before they add any more. I'd bet money that there will be no new maps come Witch Queen.
