Witch Queen Price
So I want to buy WQ, but I'm trying to decide whether I should buy it now or wait until it comes out and see then. I did hear before that the price will probably go up after it is released. Does anyone know if this is true, or was that person just going off of prior experience with other DLC? (Only started playing in Season of the Lost, so I have no XP in this area)

I don't see any possible reason why the official normal price would go up but you can find it on sales for example: https://www.greenmangaming.com/games/destiny-2-the-witch-queen-deluxe-30th-anniversary-bundle-pc/

What you saw about a price increase was more likely people talking about how buying everything as it comes out will be more expensive than just buying the deluxe edition which includes all year 5 content.

dont support pirates who steal codes from developers

they will get exaclty 0% of that money if you buy it from a shady website

and that's how you kill games

There are plenty of legitimate retailers that get their keys from the publisher/developer such as Bungie with gamebillet being one of them. I'd never suggest grey market key resellers that could have stolen keys.

https://isthereanydeal.com/game/destinyiiwitchqueendeluxeplusbungieiii0thanniversarybundle/info/ is a good list of reputable retailers.

I mean it makes sense that they can sell them for cheaper: They buy them in bulk, so each product costs less, then they sell them cheaper than steam, but still at a price where they make a profit.

They're talking about the grey market where sites will buy keys like a pawn shop would buy jewelry and in both cases the item could be stolen but the shop doesn't care. Either Falcon assumed gamebillet was one of those or just assumes anything that sells steam keys is grey market.

oh yeah steam doesn't take a cut from steam keys so these sites can work out a wholesale/bulk order where the publisher/developer still makes the money they want and the retailer can still turn a profit. The sales also bring customers in for future purchases or a loyalty program.

Unless you have no intention of paying full price, then they're not getting your money either way.

Price will only go down after release. About 1-2 months after a release, d2 DLC will be discounted atleast 25% (based on steamdb.info price history). If you can't wait and want it on release day then look around because you can find WQ discounted up to 30% off.
