if you don't have the skill, you should play with a lower skill option. like SMGs or ARs
Not true in the slightest.
I personally suck so bad with Handcannons and Snipers in PvP that I basically never use them.
But if I got something like a Pulse Rifle or a Scout Rifle it's like hitting headshots at almost any range in a barrel.
If it's a good roll of a pvp-oriented archetype, it will carry you as far as your own skill will allow it to take you. People just like HCs because their range makes them good at a lot more engagements, rewards precision more than other weapon types, and have the same rule of cool about them as the real-life revolvers they're typically drawing inspiration from.
edit: yes aiming is easier in d2 than literally every other game but doesn't change the fact that you need *some* skill to hit your shots
And yes, i know it's my subjective experience and all that but even for a "bad day" it's absurd.
PvP in this game has always been busted. We've just learned to embrace it and QQ along the way.
