Using an automated script to perform a "skillful" function or just any function that would create and advantage is against the rules. For example if you run a script to auto click and effectively shoot any gun at full auto then that's against the rules. If you can skate by hand then nothing wrong with that but if you make a script that automates it so that you don't personally have to perform the function then that's against the rules.
This bungie response[www.bungie.net] may be 2 years old but unless someone has something that says they don't care then creating a script to full auto fire guns not designed to be full auto is cheating.
But that does have limits, it only works on a specific set of weapons and doesn't work with exotics. Making a script to auto fire a fusion rifle for example is not intended.
Regardless, the answer to the op's question is yes that is called botting and against the rules in most games.
Tons of ppl used clickers in thrallway, everyone knows bout it, dont remember any ban.
Bungie might said that its bannable, but even destiny 2 keyboard has build in macro. So its safe.
Your macro need to have unique times. it can't be perfect loop. So it can't be every 4 sec.
Example
You need to make it it's doing it lol like every 2.3, 3.4, 4.1 sec. etc.
If you want afk thrallway, do it on Stadia, since there is no anticheat.
