Am I going to keep playing? Definitely but it's never going to be the same. Unfortunately there aren't any alternative games in the FPSMMO genre so here I am.
I really hope they bring all that content back relatively soon but what I see right now in front of me when I launch the game is heartbreaking.
Zavala TELLS you why (they don't).
The Traveller is an enigma. The Ghosts are created by the Traveller. Neither the Guardians themselves, nor the Vanguard have control over how many Ghosts are created, or who those Ghosts choose.
Spider didn't build a Ghost from fragments. Spider plays with an empty, dead Ghost shell (and trades in empty shells). He does this in an attempt to convince individual Guardians that he's more powerful than they are and that he can toy with their lives. It's an intimidation tactic. Spider isn't capable of building Ghosts.
Cayde-6, not 9. And he's dead. As I said, neither the Vanguard nor individual Guardians can create Ghosts.
It is ... remotely ... possible, that Cayde's core memories are still somewhere in storage deep inside the Braytech bases on Europa. But much of what made Cayde-6 himself was not stored there. Cayde-6 lived for years as a Guardian, none of that would be present in the Cayde memory storage (if it even still exists and if it could be found, and if the process of marrying an Exo shell with a set of memories could even be duplicated).
If the memories could be found and put into a new body it would be Cayde-7. It would, nominally, still act like Cayde-6, but it would remember pretty much nothing of of his time as a Guardian.
And with each iteration, the connection to the core memories (of the people they used to be before they became exos) grew weaker. Every incarnation had less of a connection to its own past.
The 6 or so deleted raids and whatever dungeons need to come back. you do a story mission once then your pretty much done with it. Raids you can do for months and still have fun
I know that Ikora said that, been there done that.
As I recall it, Crow was wandering aimlessly, was in the Last City not understanding why people who saw his face hated him and Spider took him in when he was in the Tangled Shore, because opertunity.
Spider is an ally of convenience, he prefers to profit from us than fight us. Spider is the only law in the Tangled Shore, the Dreaming City is also in that mess, you can literally see part of it from the Tangled Shore.
I know how the Awoken were created, they still created the Dreaming City on the Tangled Shore. You know Mara has a thrown world, right?
I remember Sagira taking over Ghost in the quest line, not sure what the difference in circumstances might be though. Cayde's ghost was pretty much obliterated. Remember that wave of light, was like the ghost itself was dispersed.
I know about Pulled Pork. Crow didn't know he was Uldren until Savathun told him.
Will Crow be the Hunter Vanguard?
Everything else I'm pretty indifferent towards. Except Mercury. That hot garbage can stay in the vault and rot.
Seriously, I "admire" those who can work with the DCV, but I can't, it makes me angry. Months ago I already ramped up my Steam wallet to pre-order the upcoming Anniversary and Deluxe bundle, but I did not buy.
It's not the end of the world, but with the latest news of Bungie's internals I'm not in the mood to continue with that show.
I also noticed that without certain season passes, some areas are clearly less value, as someone who late joined, meant that I could pretty much complete a "newly accessible" zone in several hours. After that the content is hardly more than bounty buffers.
If we had some activity where we can earn gear upgrade materials thru public events or something like that, it would be much better to revisit these locations once we are done with all the story and seasonal content.
I think boosting the high roll armors was an idea every location could use, that way if someone wanted a Tangled Shore "Kit", they could farm the higher rolls over there. We could add a "Zone Kit" upgrate to armor too, if we have all "Pathfinder Set" + 10 mobility or some such.
Dredgen Yor literally had one of if not the MOST magic Guardian killer guns.
I've been in the spot Crow stayed in the dam, but Savathun invited him to the Last City and had him wear a mask. I've never heard the one about the airlock, but I did hear about a Titan beating him to death with his hammer. Looking like that, could be a real issue in that time.
If ghost were good at looking at how good a person was, those war lords wouldn't be such a thing. There are some genuine bad people with ghost.
"I never knew you in life ... your first life anyway. You died on a battlefield long before my time. Something special brought us together ... they called it ... The Traveller..."

Have you done the Hawkmoon quest line? Have you done the Ager's Scepter quest line?
Uldren Sov was supposed to be a hero. He was supposed to be a great warrior who defended his people, (up to and including) ... with his life. He was supposed to be the greatest warrior of the Awoken. He was kept from that by his sister. Who was jealous of his strength, and afraid to live in a world without him. And because of that, she prevented his ascension, prevented him from truly ascending to adulthood.
She told herself (and anyone else who'd listen) that she did it for his own good, but that's a sop. She was lying to herself, and to us. Uldren Sov became twisted, insane, because his sister held him back.
Crow is always who he was supposed to be.
