Hows the content vault treating everyone lately?
Simply the title. Also yes I understand, its part of the game, rotational content, room for witch queen, whatever yes we all understand that part of it

Hows missing so many planets and quests been for everyone?
Everyone rushes strikes with shatter dive eager edge now, casual players dont really exist too often in crucible anymore
Every environment feels pretty much the same so theres that too
Not really much fun to do when it comes to special exotics besides grind out ascendant shards or spoils.

Honestly myself, its been boring and pretty upsetting, super easy to burn out now n days after playing even just for a week since all it really takes is 3 days to see everything you can do
I'm excited for witch queen but I dont know if i even should be since beyond light kinda went in flames. Most people still liked it but, it for sure didnt mean a lot of peoples expectations

Ah so its less about you being sad that the content is gone and you can't share it with your friend and more about you being mad at bungie for removing the content.
It's about both. You can only be so sad before you start feeling a bit mad. I want this game to be amazing as much as anyone but it's really hard when it's just a shadow of its former self.

Am I going to keep playing? Definitely but it's never going to be the same. Unfortunately there aren't any alternative games in the FPSMMO genre so here I am.
I really hope they bring all that content back relatively soon but what I see right now in front of me when I launch the game is heartbreaking.

It's a very shallow story. Why didn't the Vanguard kill Spider and take over the Reef, especially after resurrecting Crow?

Zavala TELLS you why (they don't).

And according to lore, Ghosts are light 'droppings' from The Traveler who choose their own Guardians. Yet Spider managed to build one from fragments,

The Traveller is an enigma. The Ghosts are created by the Traveller. Neither the Guardians themselves, nor the Vanguard have control over how many Ghosts are created, or who those Ghosts choose.

Spider didn't build a Ghost from fragments. Spider plays with an empty, dead Ghost shell (and trades in empty shells). He does this in an attempt to convince individual Guardians that he's more powerful than they are and that he can toy with their lives. It's an intimidation tactic. Spider isn't capable of building Ghosts.

and somehow that news didn't give anyone the idea to resurrect Cayde-9.

Cayde-6, not 9. And he's dead. As I said, neither the Vanguard nor individual Guardians can create Ghosts.

It is ... remotely ... possible, that Cayde's core memories are still somewhere in storage deep inside the Braytech bases on Europa. But much of what made Cayde-6 himself was not stored there. Cayde-6 lived for years as a Guardian, none of that would be present in the Cayde memory storage (if it even still exists and if it could be found, and if the process of marrying an Exo shell with a set of memories could even be duplicated).

If the memories could be found and put into a new body it would be Cayde-7. It would, nominally, still act like Cayde-6, but it would remember pretty much nothing of of his time as a Guardian.

And with each iteration, the connection to the core memories (of the people they used to be before they became exos) grew weaker. Every incarnation had less of a connection to its own past.

they need to go back and do what there doing with the forsaken vault. Keep the raids, dungeons, and any good content and nuke the storys and strikes no one likes.
The 6 or so deleted raids and whatever dungeons need to come back. you do a story mission once then your pretty much done with it. Raids you can do for months and still have fun

But if you go back to Red Legion, Osiris' Ghost 'died' and was revived in the EDZ with existing machinery and her "spirit" took over the Guardian's Ghost, yet Sundance's death was final.
During Curse of Osiris she was knocked out by a random vex bolt, Cayde's ghost was killed by a bullet/arrow that was specifically designed to kill a ghost.

The Vanguard is protecting the Last City, not ruling over places not even on earth.

Spider didn't build Glint, he modified the shell with a bomb to force Crow to serve him. Ever heard of Pulled Pork?

I think Cayde-6 would be Cayde-7, not 9. However, if another ghost resurrected him, he would not be Cayde anything as they have no memory of their past life.

The Colonel is doing workouts and training to avenge Cayde-6 :cozybrawlhalla7: LOL

Uldren took over the House of Kings with help of the Scorned Barons and created Dark Ether with the help of his Taken infection and Riven. After his capture and imprisonment in the Prison of Elders, he tricks Variks into releasing all of the prisoners. It is said that this became possible because Variks' loyalty was wavering.

At the end of Forsaken, Ikora acknowledges that his death was avenged. Avenging his death is the whole point of the last part of Forsaken.

Spider rescued Crow from the vacuum of space where Guardian friends of Cayde left him to die and magically attaches explosives to Glint. His nickname was Pulled Pork and was given to him by one Guardian. Guardians and Ghosts name each other.

But if you go back to Red Legion, Osiris' Ghost 'died' and was revived in the EDZ with existing machinery and her "spirit" took over the Guardian's Ghost, yet Sundance's death was final.

It was also Osiris who told Guardians to forgive Uldren, Spider isn't an ally btw, he's a mercenary who sells information to the Vanguard. No one has a legitimate claim to the Tangled Shore as both Uldren and Mara Sov were colonists aboard a ship who were transformed during a battle between The Traveler and Darkness and reborn.

Despite the lore's claim that revived light bearers have no memory of their past, Uldren as Crow sure knows a lot of technology no one else does. Clearly he does have memories.

I know that Ikora said that, been there done that.

As I recall it, Crow was wandering aimlessly, was in the Last City not understanding why people who saw his face hated him and Spider took him in when he was in the Tangled Shore, because opertunity.

Spider is an ally of convenience, he prefers to profit from us than fight us. Spider is the only law in the Tangled Shore, the Dreaming City is also in that mess, you can literally see part of it from the Tangled Shore.

I know how the Awoken were created, they still created the Dreaming City on the Tangled Shore. You know Mara has a thrown world, right?

I remember Sagira taking over Ghost in the quest line, not sure what the difference in circumstances might be though. Cayde's ghost was pretty much obliterated. Remember that wave of light, was like the ghost itself was dispersed.

I know about Pulled Pork. Crow didn't know he was Uldren until Savathun told him.
Will Crow be the Hunter Vanguard?

I only miss Titan and Mars, though I miss the latter exclusively because of EP and Titan was just overall neat and different (plus the butt-load of exotic quests tied to it).

Everything else I'm pretty indifferent towards. Except Mercury. That hot garbage can stay in the vault and rot.

bring the old raids back, everything else can stay vaulted lol. they should vault edz and nessus too just to piss more people off

The Tangled Shore is no big loss, but the sum (in complete) is simply too much of what was removed.

Seriously, I "admire" those who can work with the DCV, but I can't, it makes me angry. Months ago I already ramped up my Steam wallet to pre-order the upcoming Anniversary and Deluxe bundle, but I did not buy.

It's not the end of the world, but with the latest news of Bungie's internals I'm not in the mood to continue with that show.
Lano-17 24 ENE 2022 a las 2:46 a. m.
With no static party raids and dungeons dont add value to me, nicely designed scenery to walk around adds more. In this light Tangled Shore is better than Moon for me.

I also noticed that without certain season passes, some areas are clearly less value, as someone who late joined, meant that I could pretty much complete a "newly accessible" zone in several hours. After that the content is hardly more than bounty buffers.

If we had some activity where we can earn gear upgrade materials thru public events or something like that, it would be much better to revisit these locations once we are done with all the story and seasonal content.

I think boosting the high roll armors was an idea every location could use, that way if someone wanted a Tangled Shore "Kit", they could farm the higher rolls over there. We could add a "Zone Kit" upgrate to armor too, if we have all "Pathfinder Set" + 10 mobility or some such.

If a Vex weapon can damage a Ghost, it's kinda silly to believe it can't kill one. I don't buy the special magical weapon theory, because Dredgen Yor didn't have one.

Dredgen Yor literally had one of if not the MOST magic Guardian killer guns.

Cayde's friends ejected Crow from an airlock and Spider rescued him according to one account. the other is that he lived in a shipping container before moving to the Reef where he was enslaved. He had a 'nest' in EDZ, too. Then Osiris recruits him and invites him to the Lost City but tells him he has to wear mask.

The story of Glint is pretty goofy. 'He' searched the Solar System for centuries while the other Ghosts scanned refugees on Earth. Then magically somehow finds itself on the Reef just after Uldren opened the gate to the Dreaming City. The lore also says the Ghost evaluates the potential light bearer's past. My guess is that Glint is just a cheap knock-off and not a real Ghost.

I've been in the spot Crow stayed in the dam, but Savathun invited him to the Last City and had him wear a mask. I've never heard the one about the airlock, but I did hear about a Titan beating him to death with his hammer. Looking like that, could be a real issue in that time.

If ghost were good at looking at how good a person was, those war lords wouldn't be such a thing. There are some genuine bad people with ghost.

"I never knew you in life ... your first life anyway. You died on a battlefield long before my time. Something special brought us together ... they called it ... The Traveller..."

Have you done the Hawkmoon quest line? Have you done the Ager's Scepter quest line?

Uldren Sov was supposed to be a hero. He was supposed to be a great warrior who defended his people, (up to and including) ... with his life. He was supposed to be the greatest warrior of the Awoken. He was kept from that by his sister. Who was jealous of his strength, and afraid to live in a world without him. And because of that, she prevented his ascension, prevented him from truly ascending to adulthood.

She told herself (and anyone else who'd listen) that she did it for his own good, but that's a sop. She was lying to herself, and to us. Uldren Sov became twisted, insane, because his sister held him back.

Crow is always who he was supposed to be.

Some of it was nice but the vast majority of the content that's been removed was held together with snot and rubber bands, was dead content that nobody interacted with or at the most interacted with passively out of necessity and not because they actually wanted to.

One of the biggest problems with Destiny is the sheer volume of content bloat and 100 different currencies and systems and bounty vendors and busy-work tasks that overwhelm new players are are ignored by 90% of existing players.

Yeah, it sucks that content got removed, some of it genuinely good, but what Destiny needs is what Bungie is doing: removing redundant systems and content, shaving off Activision-rushed garbage code that's holding back further updates and improvements, consolidation of minor systems in to major ones, less locations with a focus on deeper gameplay in better-designed ones, and a continued focus on evolving narrative over slapping more and more stuff on to the game that people will touch once and then never again.
The fact that throughout the entirety of destiny 2, we never got a new weapon type until witch queen(?) should show that witch queen is way more ambitious than older content.
