Will I meet Cayde-6 ?

Hello !
I`m a new player so could you please explain to me if I will meet Cayde ? My Ghost said he`s dead... but I don`t have any of the DLC`s...soooo ? Shouldn`t he be alive ? I would like to meet this cool character ! im Interested in his story ^^

Edit: Thanks everyone for responding ! It`s a shame that I can`t do mission with Cayde anymore...

His story stuff is currently not in the game. It was in the original Destiny 2, and some early DLC stuff. You'll only get snippets, from the older Strikes, that still have his messages attached.

If you are a new light player, you are meant to have been resurrected after his death. I think.

No, as a new player Cayde-6 died before you were risen, the only in game appearances of him are in time locked strikes that feature his voice.

Yeah, like Mez said, there are about 2 (legacy) strikes left that feature his voice. That's it.

Cayde-6 the character has been considered to be "dead" for years now.

Sorry, but that's the way it is.
