Nvidia game record issue in D2.

I enabled in-game overlay in the middle of my game. I alt+z then the game tabbed out. Fine. So I started recording, and switched back to Destiny 2. Then instantly, recording stopped.

It can only record like 4s at most.

I was so confused.

Anyone else also having problem with game recording?

My Nvidia can record any games without any problem. It's just destiny 2.

If I remember correctly its most likely because as far as I understand Bungie does not allow any overlays and such so I'd assume its related to that.
I could be wrong thought but I'd assume thats the issue. Tho apparently OBS works so you could use that for recording.

I record just fine with Nvidia (rtx 2070 newst drivers) and all my videos are recorded with Nvidia GeForce Experience so its definitely not the game.

Nvidia only records game play so its possible that it stopped recording when you alt tabbed. Have you restarted the game and launched it with the overlay active during the game and ensured that recording is properly enabled and set up? I'd suggest setting your own start/stop record button and a instant replay button.

Okay makes sense. Thx. I enabled HDR. So OBS would mess up the colour unfortunately.

I tried restart. Now it can record. But often it just randomly stops recording. Maybe 5s or maybe 10min then it randomly stops. Sometimes it wont even tell me that it already stopped.

Not sure what Bungie did to Nvidia.

Do check the keybindings , HIghly doubt you press the stop and record ones but it's worth a check if you have not. Its a weird issue and alt tabbing as far as I know should not do it due to some of the recordings i have from battlefield 4 have me alt tabbing a lot.
