It has been suggested, given how the run went with TC, Lament and the RL, that when I have the will to try it again my main friend will join me and see how TC and Lament goes, but I don't think it needed to be said that we have tried god knows how many different combo's, even tried the Wardcliff coil thingy where it doesn't have the 60% reduction when x3 threadcutter is running, ran with Gjaller, lasting impression rockets, all manner of things
For one, i would highly advice you or anyone to not use lament in that fight. Especially on legendary where she barely let's you breath between her spamming non stop supers. Lament is bugged for some reason, it doesn't do the damage it should do.. Also, i wouldn't use a sword in general in there because there are better options.. Don't fight her up-close, use the provided cover in the map and keep damaging her until the fight is over.
If you play in group the difficulty gets adjusted as it should be.
Running tier 8-9 resilience and the seasonal solar/arc protection mod is more than enough to live savathuns worst hit, Being the arc one.
As for weapons, Anything RANGED ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ works, Do not go melee on the boss with slow travel projectiles.
I used travelers chosen and palmyra B.
My friend used outbreak perfected + funnelweb
And the 3rd guy used exclusively Point of the stag.
None of these weapons are hardcore meta ♥♥♥♥, we used guns we like, and killed the boss because she is WEAK and SLOW
The fight is not hard, there is plenty of cover wherever you go, And if you play titan or have a titan in group with tier 8-9 resilience you have permanent barrier uptime, add bastion on top and all of you will be 100% fine.
Savathun telegraphs her moves like an anime character yelling their moves out loud.
And all her skills are laughably easy to dodge.
Novabomb pushes you away so you don't even need to bother moving even if it lands next to you.
Solar blades have MINIMAL track once their course is set, So you can stand still during the animation and move an inch or 2 when they start moving and dodge the whole barrage.
The only real danger is the arc burst she does, IF you were in the open taking it all to the face.
Titans can block it every time with barricades, even rally ones, Hunters turn invisible and can go make tea.
And warlocks can either use Blink or Dash to 100% dodge anything savathun ever shoots at you.
Also here is a super secret pro gamer tip.
If you fast peek savathun from behind a corner and use things like bows, She cannot attack anyone. If you are the closest target to savathun, and keep fast peeking her from a corner, She will animation cancel herself and your team can just do dmg the entire time.
it might get fixed in future patch, but it last I checked, it worked about 4 hours ago with me and my friends, Though you really do not need it if you are playing any of the 3 classes in this game.
The only thing you ''need'' to worry about is the adds she summons, Again which are not an issue, Because void 3.0 Is super ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ strong especially if you use seasonal mods that affect suppress for example.
But lets say you don't want to run Void 3.0 ok sure no problem.
Stasis excels in CC so you can make the adds non threat within seconds, And you win as savathun is incapable of killing guardians.
Solar also works, Hunters can easily use mid tree solar to kill all the adds fast and the wizards happen to have solar shield so no biggie, Solar mid warlocks also have permanent rift, so using exotics like Stag makes your hole team immune to savathun
Arc is the only subclass that might have issues in the fight, But its not impossible with arc either, Cuiras works wonders against savathun just like any other boss.
And chaos reach is chaos reach which once again, Also works against savathun.
So unless you are running a 3 man stack or arc hunters with swords who cant move, or dodge, or jump.
There is no issue you kill the wizards, do dmg to savathun. repeat 1-5 times and you are set.
