Try Shatterdive from stasis, you're not supposed to get falling damage when using it

Jump before landing, though it will vary by class. Warlocks for example will halt their downward momentum whilst Titans will only slow it.

For me, I always bring a sword with me. When you're almost falling, try light attack once. That should make your "fall damage" goes "proofed"

Me on the other hand am complaining about surviving fall damage

if you're playing titan, you will need to start your jump a while before landing, as the titan jump only slows u

A fall onto *flat* ground will never kill you if you're at full health.

Landing on uneven terrain such as a slope or rock will kill you.

This only works if you're falling slow enough, if you for example reach terminal velocity it won't stop you.

Well THAT explains

A fall onto flat ground won't kill you? I'm sure I've died on the Wellspring fall near the end, and that was onto flat surfaces, as is the decent into the pyramid on the new raid. I've died hitting that flat surface 100%, as it was something I then had to warn a friend over that the drop was pretty intense, and he had to slow himself accordingly.

Swinging a sword right before you land will cancel any fall damage, regardless of height

Well I'm not going to say no because I'm not going to test it and don't use swords for that purpose but they definitely won't stop your momentum if you're trying to catch a platform.

Easy to test with the middle landing zone on Nessus, it'll teleport you up and you can fall and test to your heart's content.

Both of those have all sorts of geometry and any tiny little step or lip can kill you.

Yeah, they won't stop the downwards momentum, but they will certainly stop the damage.
