Can someone explain to me what happened to The Farm?
It had this really cool soccer field in it and imo looked a lot better than the "Last City" since it contained actual greenery and not the same eye sore that kind of resembled destiny 1's ship barracks (with an open sky this time...)

I played a little bit off and on after the release of the Leviathan but only really came back after they killed off Cayde-6 in Forsaken.

At this time, the Farm was gone and has been gone for awhile...did it get "vaulted" or was it destroyed via story cannon?

Since the farm was part of the Red War. So it got vaulted when Beyond Light shipped.

It was removed when Beyond Light launched.

It wasn't even destroyed? an entire city just...vaulted? Um, okay. Nice design choice, devs.
In the story the farm is still there being settled by some humans.
Its a shame, it was quite a pretty patrol space but after completing the campaign there was no reason to go there. Even the tower has its own soccer field.

It was more like a small village instead of a city though..

It was a pretty cool location, but it wasn't a city and it's not needed.

It was removed due to being a part of several vaulted events/quests.

It was virtually worthless anyways, unfortunately.

It's a shame because aesthetically, it looked more pleasing than the last city but I mean, that's pretty subjective. I wouldn't have been mad if that was the permanent place where we upgraded our gear and got our strike missions.

Functionally, the Tower offers more space. There's a lot of NPCs that move in and out of the Tower. All that extra space is useful.

I liked the Farm's aesthetic too, but honestly, there wasn't any reason to visit it after the Red War anymore unless you had acess to Zero Hour (which honestly would've made more sense to have in the Tower than anything).

Farm was functionally obsolete and became a waste of space they didn't want to keep updated.
