Gambit ONLY rewards invading, nothing else
That is it, the only thing that really matters in typical Bingie style is the part that everyone totally, utterly and completely hates about the entire thing.

As usual PVP comes before efrything

How does it reward invading?

Gambit exists for nothing more than an additional source of bounties, powerful/pinnacle gear, quests/challenges, don't take it seriously and just get done what you need to and get out.

Invading can be impactful, but it's just a minor component. There's lots of ways to win without invading. The complexity of how to play Gambit is one of the reasons I like it so much.

Honestly, if they just reduced the invader's over shield by like 40%, it would be much more balanced

Gambit needs some huge Improvements, I liked it when matches weren't always one sided victories after 3 minutes.

Heavy Ammo Drops have been nerfed, greatly limiting your options to kill people. That's why we see overused exotic heavy weapons like Xeno or EOT, because there's almost 0 other options. There is no barrier to killing bosses, requiring almost nothing in teamwork unlike gambit prime... They literally took the worst parts of each mode, and put them into one. it's saddening. Used to love playing gambit, despite it's reputation pre-beyond light, but now? It's awful.

Stop trying to come up with excuses as to why you NEED to be in there suffering and ruining the experience for others when you don’t want to be. Just do the content you find fun instead of doing things you hate just so you have an excuse to complain about them.

Personally I would prefer fixxed times for invading, so that every team can invade at the same time.

That´s what mods are for. And people are allways using Meta weapons.

Fixed invade times isn't going to do much, sadly. From what I've experienced, players can and will still ignore their invasion opportunities. I can't tell you how many times we've gotten invasion portals open before our enemies and we don't use a single one at all in the entire match.

"Then why didn't you invade?" You may ask. I'm not equipped to invade, plus I prefer to play defense and kill invaders with my Xeno rather than try my luck fighting 1v4.

The only thing rewarding is the 3 games per week for the pinnacle.

If you go with randoms, stop trying to win and just do your bounties and stop caring. It makes absolutely 0 difference what you do when 2 teammates lose 30 motes each.

I have no issue playing it, I am merely saying that a team of any quality can be well on the way to finishing, then someone decided to invade form the team, you lose monmentum as a guy is trying to do PVP when game is nearly done, or you lose all your momentum with a good invader taking you back to the start which is fair enough, or people just endlessly invade, are useless and come back with nothing or die instantly,

I much preferred the ole version where you could eat through your bounties quicker and then concentrate more on everything, this version is Prime, and simply rewards only invading not the PVE element, that can all be undone totally by one man, which seems rather pointless, but totally on mission for this company

It's not just the invaders making your team lose. I've seen players with 15 motes, instead of banking, move to the next wave of enemies to keep killing only to die and lose them all.

Players need to learn to bank. Unless you have a bounty that requires you summon a large blocker, you don't need to get 15 motes every time before banking. Stop being greedy, reckless, and just bank the damn motes. The less you have, the less you lose when a monster or invader kills you. That's why I've stopped collecting motes altogether and instead kill everything while letting my idiot teammates fight each other and die trying to collect.

Honestly, I miss Gambit Prime. Players were more organized with their "class" armors. Collectors do most of the collecting, less people would collide and push each other around as a result.

I know what you mean. In most cases I leave the portal for my teammates, because I suck at invading and I am not playing meta.

I just think fixxed invade times would make it a bit less annoying at the boss phase when you have 1 invader after another.

When you can melt the boss within as little as 15 seconds (or even less), invasions become much less problematic in comparison.

How does one pull that off? I'd expect you'd need a full team with loadouts that optimize the damage, and you can't expect that to happen with randos.

Breach and Clear + Lament sword + Stasis Hunter ulti will absolutely melt it.

Every Revved up heavy attack is basically a GG shot while having the Icy Tornado thingie constantly damaging it.
