If so then its just crap drop rates, If you dont, then it doesnt matter how many times you run it, it wont drop. You need the season pass for associated exotics

yeah season pass, and solo every time, did it 10 times now and on my warlock with many exotics yet to get and not got a thing.

yeah occasionally ill go through 6-7 times without anything then get 2 exotics in 2 runs, bless rng

It's just drop rates in the game are fubared since idk how many weeks now. We're not getting paid. Some seem to be but what its related to idk.

Or, there is nothing wrong with the RNG, and RNG is just being RNG. You can get heads ten times without seeing a tails; sometimes you get rare stuff right away, sometimes it takes you forever. You would need thousands of impartially recorded data points to realistically claim it was "fubared", something I imagine none of us here have.

As for OP, like with nightfalls, just make sure you are getting the platinum by killing all the champs. Otherwise, you are probably just getting unlucky, it sucks, but it happens to all of us.

I got the Helm and Chest in 1 Try and the arms in 20 runs, its all rng

12am last night I did the legend solo warlock for necrotic grips, also learning first time how to beat it. every run took 6-7mins. At 4am I was missing only 2 exotic gloves plus the necrotic grips. At 1pm next day lunch break from work I ran again solo and got everything by 12:45pm. Before I started I already had some exotic gloves though, around 3-4pcs of them. I never got same exotic drop and the last to drop was necrotic grips. It doesnt take that long, just spam until it drops.

I've usually gotten the exotics I was looking for in under 5 runs. The longest was 11 runs for the titan chest from last season. As others have mentioned, RNG can never be questioned or argued with. It will take as long as it takes.

Could be the first run, could be the 10th run, rng is rng.

Rare. It all depends on your personal relationship with RNJesus, but don't give up after, let's say, 10 runs. And of course, have all the exotics for the slot you're target-grinding. Also, remember that even once you get your drop, it will most likely have crappy stats, but it will be added to the world drop pool. So then you will have to grind Nightfalls to get a piece worth masterworking.
