5% has no matchmaking but doesn't require voice comms.
5% (mainly raids) has no matchmaking and is made significantly more difficult without voice comms.
IMO you'd be missing out on the best parts of the game by not interacting with anyone. It would be worth finding a group that you're comfortable with.
Ultimately there's raids. Raids in destiny are mostly challenging in that they require tight, and i mean TIGHT teamwork in order to succeed, and therefore require a premade with voice comms. I'd be lying if i said you'd not be missing much if you didn't raid, but you can absolutely enjoy 95% of destiny 2 even without raiding. It's not a necessity.
TLDR, yes, you can enjoy this game as a solo player, and also don't be afraid to LFG, it doesn't mean you have to make friends with anyone, it's just another way to match with people, nothing to stress over. Hope that helped.
All pre endgame content in Matchmade, ''Endgame'' would be considered Raid's / Legend or higher nightfalls for PvE.... Trials Of Osiris is the PvP endgame and has no matchmaking aswell...so no u can be a shy player it wont matter u still will get to reach the ''light cap'' and play most of the content...but i would highly suggest looking up a Sherpa clan which have people who are more casual minded and dont mind teaching new players the ropes and bringing them into Endgame content
Have a great day!
I totally get being shy, uncomfortable or w/e reason for avoiding big groups of strangers. I have pretty bad anxiety but I took the leap with a random group and two years later im still playing with them daily.
Destiny community for the most part is incredibly welcoming, veterans usually (at least the ones I play with) try and reach out to 'New lights' to help them out early on.
Either way, I hope you gain the courage to at least try the game. Have fun.
I never used it but i hear its good for shy people or if they have anxiety
I mean if you good enough at the game and you know how every raid works, you don't need to talk at all, but you need to take the roles that you don't need to talk.
I think your first raids/dungeons might need some communication, but later you don't need it, but it's really depends on your skill level at this game.
I'm type of person that don't like to talk to people and feel really uncomfortable in large groups (6 people are too much already for me) it's sort of possible to do play endgame stuff without any word from yourself.
There's usually an "ad clear" position in raids that you can do without having to talk to people. I don't have a mic so that's usually what I end up assigned to. I keel ul da tings gud.
Depends on the raid/encounter.
DSC, honestly the only thing you need a mic for is operator calling fuses in the first encounter. The rest can be done in complete silence if people know the mechanics and you can trust everyone to do their job.
Stuff like Queenswalk in LW is annoying if even 1 person doesn't have a mic.
The game is lone wolf friendly with lots of match making and solo-able content and if you can't solo then you can also just use the destiny 2 pc lfg discord to find other lone wolves trying to do a mission, nightfall, or dungeon.
no mic, no raids. no raids = no progression.
thats why discord is awesome
