But what you might want to consider is using a gaming keypad of some sort. Those tend to have more useful groupings of keys for games that use a lot of bindings.
Razer Nostromo for example.
Got mine all on default. I rarely change my keybindings for any game. At most the crouch and sprint, so they are CTRL and shift respectively. I do have my extra mouse keys mapped to copy some keys, so I can use both my keyboard and mouse to activate them. See image: https://imgur.com/a/bPw4xPO
just a little bit which helped me tremendously:
mouse wheel up: switch to kinetic weapon
mouse wheel down: switch to energy weapon
another mouse button: switch to power weapon
that way you can explicitly switch to the weapon you want instead of scrolling through, while your left hand can stay busy with movement
i'm right handed and i generally tend to prefer some functions on the mouse, like reload, melee and grenades.
for the rest pretty much default. many mouse buttons help :-)
C melee
Q grenade
V class ability
G finisher
F super
R reload
1 kinetic
2 energy
3 heavy
Control crouch
Shift sprint
Middle mouse click for powered melee
mouse wheel sidescroll left for finisher
R reload
Shift sprint
mouse wheel up and down for weapon switch
mouse side buttons for grenade and class ability
F for super.
Ctrl for crouch
I basically use the mouse for as many reflex actions as possible as I hate to use more than the bare minimum keyboard keys for gaming.
