When will they allow discord overlay to work in destiny 2

overlays are blocked because its one of the ways for cheaters to hook their cheats into the game and discord is not the only effected program.

It's not using discord that's the problem.
If you allow discord to link into the game, cheaters can "pretend" to be discord and link into the game in the same way. That's why they don't allow it.

Cheaters don’t use Discord, lol. That isn’t what he’s saying. The way that programs hook into an app to display an onscreen display is similar to the way that cheats hook into a game to display things like wallhack.

I hate to be that guy but. I use Discord to chat with my friends all the time with no issue. What exactly is the problem? If it's people only able to use text chat then there is also a text feature built into the game on the pc version.

It’s nice to be able to see who’s talking when playing with new clan members, it’s also nice to see if I’ve left myself muted accidentally. Plenty of games allow the overlay without issue, and there are plenty of cheaters in the game already; I’d rather have the convenience of the overlay and deal with a few more.

Sounds like you only have 1 monitor. Getting a 2nd one would solve this problem and a hundred more.

There are already thieves out there, I might as well leave my doors unlocked because if they're were already planning to rob me I might might as well make it easier for both of us.

Discord overlay does not work on fullscreen or fullscreen borderless if you are windows mode that might be the reason why you are saying yours is working.
