how do i win at crucible

i have to get 25 headshot kills with handcannon in crucible but my gun does no damage and i can barely get a kill

Dire promise, spare rations or thorn are your best bet.

If you don't have any of those then waking vigil, sunshot, austringer or kindled orchid are also solid choices.

Waking vigil and austringer are both incredibly easy to obtain via menagerie. You can farm them over and over to get decent perk combos on them. You can farm kindled orchid from forges, but I'd recommend the others unless you happen to get the kill clip/rampage KO.

What gamemode are you playing? because iron banner and trials of osiris are light based, but regular crucible like elimination they should be doing 57-91 depending on the gun

You can skip the parts where he's explaining what to do during the activity, it's simple enough that you can just jump in and figure out what to do. Just watch the parts explaining how to get there, how to use it to farm weapons etc.

Not sure if intentional but your edit makes you sound really pretentious, what they said made sense and the op could look up if they wanted to. If you wanted to help clarify for the OP then you should have done it yourself instead of trying "improve" what someone else said.

Pick whatever 150 hand cannon you can and go into control, lots of people to shoot at and a lot of team damage combined makes it easy to just clean out wounded enemies if you are having trouble, rumble is probably the hardest place where the best people go you wont be able to make it out alive as a new player. After that just shoot at a regular pace aiming at head level and you will eventually get it done, if you want to get good with hand cannons check out some guides on youtube, the point with hand cannons is learning the timing of each rpm to shoot as fast as you can and always go for the head.
