Using The Lament?

Are you guys using this new chainsaw sword? It hits very hard but I find myself unwilling to give up the exotic slot for it. I'm still using the Guillotine.

The Lament will destroy Guillotine in the, "Kill it right now" department. But if time isn't an issue, then yeah, you don't need Lament, as it about matches Guillotine in sustain DPS.

It does absurd burst damage, so I've absolutely been using it a bunch.

Block -> Light attack x3 -> Heavy attack

Both lament and guillotine are great. Sometimes you want to run something like izanagi or div, other times you don't mind giving up the exotic slot for max burst damage on lament.

Lament with Lucent Blade is just insane damage.

For PvE i cant give up Lament it destroys everything does way more dmg than FG

More importantly, it breaches Barrier enemies. I believe there used to be a relic mod that allowed swords to do that. It made Nightfall runs sooo much easier.

iirc that was during season of worthy where swords had anti overload, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing at shutting those blinking bastards down

Sure, and running another exotic with guillotine is totally valid. There will be times when it makes more sense to run lament too though - most of Last Wish, for example.

and can demolish unstoppable and overcharged enemies while freezed

To be fair you can turn off with the lament too, the 3xlight attack and heavy kills overload and barrier champs before they can do anything.
