Confused about what constitutes a stasis crystal

So I just got the fragment that returns grenade energy from shattering crystals, but does that include enemy shatters? I feel as though I'm getting energy from shattering frozen enemies as well as crystals.

Stasis crystals are actual crystals, not frozen enemies. There is no "feel like" to it, shattering a crystal gives you a buff for 5 seconds (stacking per crystal you break up to 10) that gives a large boost to grenade regen. Look for the buff, should be easy to tell what is what.

Yes you can slide through an enemy's crystals if you want to get shot once and die.
