Ager's Scepter Catalyst Drop Rate

Just curious to know if people understand the drop rate to this thing? I have the scepter for 2 weeks now and this week i probably have now run over 20 Astral Alignments opening both chests.

How's everyone else fairing?

I thought everyone knew it was completely random. After reading the drop rates from the posts I think thats now crystal clear. I'm sure Bungie has a percent rate or even a player can do the math based on posted results but who cares? When its anywhere from 1 to 40 runs the word random covers it lol. I'd say I got mine at about 15 runs. I got it in a run I was added to that was almost finished. I think the better question is does difficulty make a difference?

No but you do get a second chest and so a second chance but is that second chance really worth going through the trouble of the 2nd tier instead of just mindlessly doing the match made one.

I got it from a GM run 2 weeks ago lol and I wasnt even looking for it.
