I am purely average and don't play PVP unless I have to do it for a quest. I went into freelance survival to get some quest steps done and some bounties as well. Man the people there aren't very friendly. Lots of racial slurs. It doesn't bother me that much but I can see why people don't want to use the chat feature in this game.
I don't remember people being this toxic when I joined during new light. I wonder what brought this about.

Survival is "ranked" so people are even more sweaty and salty than normal crucible.

thats the issue with their bounties, no matter which activity you will always have people doing bounties/quests that require specific weapons/subclasses/loadouts/playstyles. You ruin everyone elses activity. Bounties need a revamp especially PVP ones.

therre are map types for you to get good in, you dont practice in the hardcore modes... not the super sweaty modes... common sense, you dont see me flyingn to the moon while i barely have flight simulator time... just because i got 1 bounty that doesnt effect me if i miss the 1... IM sure you dont ♥♥♥♥♥ at people when they suck at basic pve stufff. i smell a hypocrite. school skip teaching basic common sense thats for sure.

LMAO what the hell are you even on about? Some quests are tied directly to comp/survival. So you're telling me that I have to be in the top 10% of players before I can even think about touching those quests that require participation in survival? Do you pay my electricity bill? Do you pay my internet bill? Who are you to tell people what mode they can and cannot play. Stop acting like you're the gate keeper of the survival playlist please. We have enough gate keepers in the community already.
Like I said, We are playing our best if we have quests or bounties related to comp. Sometimes we win, sometimes we lose. Just because we're not among the best of players doesn't mean we have to avoid playing a game mode just to grovel to you elitists. The level of arrogance here man.... assuming that I ♥♥♥♥ on people for sucking at PVE when you don't even know my in game activities. Learn how to think before you type please.

"I paid for the game so I play the way I like" can very well be used to justify going into crucible and keeping to jump off the cliff. Joining Gambit and just pulling memes. Going into a strike without mods and killing 10 adds overall (happens).

I think that if you try your best or just try reasonably at all it's all fine.

But there are a lot of people feeling entitled to run Survival for the quests ruining the match.
They take absurd trash weapons and get 3 kills overall and run it 6 times overall ruining all those matches to get the quest done. This is really hard to take for the players that play this mode for the sake of competition.

Nah man. I don't support those kind of players at all. Even if I am playing survival for a quest I go all in because I know 2 other team mates are counting on me to pull my own weight. People who abuse gambit or crucible for quests or bounties by going afk and griefing isn't what I'm referring to.
I am referring to him suggesting that if I am not a top player I should not be playing comp for quests or bounties. Like bro, I am doing my best. I am not griefing :D
