The problem is that we don't know how long the Golden Age lasted.
In D1, on Mars, there is a "Restricted Area" sign that has sample concentrations and dates printed; the last date is 09/02/3309. If you take that as the actual date the sample was preserved, and not a prediction of the sample's concentration at that future year, it would suggest that the Golden Age lasted over 1000 years - meaning that the current year would be over 3800.
