Crimson is technically a short range pulse rifle disguised as a hand cannon (same way as Eriana's' a sniper). The bullet spread of the weapon makes it highly unreliable. There is no high risk high reward, you either get lucky or not. Im not one to tell others what to use but you can be sure if i would be in same team as you, id avoid you like squirrel the forest fire.
If you play normal PvP then nothing's wrong. If you try Trials or comp, however, you are looking for that punch in the face intentionally. And dont be surprised if people will call out your decision in a competitive mode when you are intentionally gimping yourself.
I tried use it in PvP and can't even get 2/3 of enemy shield then I am dead...
Ahahahahaa!!
+1!!
This!
I still use Vigilance Wing (aka "The Dad Gun") and they cry about that. I have 3 words for them (and yes, I'll be happy to say it to their faces).
