Deleting content? Ahahahahah. Sue them!
As I heard from the game they want to remove the content of the first season? If I lived in a country with normal laws and would pay for this content, I would take the last pants off the company in court for that.

PS: I pre-ordered first season content. Or return my money or don't make it.

Some notes:
Forsaken is still being sold as a paid expansion, despite Gambit, Black Armoury, and Menagerie content being cut.

Also, the "no one plays this content anyway!" bit is absolutely incorrect.

Bungie's one mentioned statistic was how many people play the Mars story missions.
They said nothing about how many people use all of the content being removed, but we can check that with Charlemagne.

For instance, regular Leviathan is currently the second most-played raid in D2 [18% participation], which is below Garden of Salvation [40%] and above Last Wish [14%]. Add in the other vaulted raids and that's 46% of the raiding community.

11% of the entire game's population runs Forges.
Menagerie is sub 1%.

Add in the portion of strikes and other story content, with a bit of that vague "Patrols" value, and you'll see that about 20% of players actively play the content being removed.

People like you clearly can't read or hear. The devs have made this very clear. THEY ARE NOT DELETING ANYTHING. Some of the lesser played gamemodes, maps activities are going to be put in rotation with content from destiny 1. They are not deleting anything they are simply improving the game. For example. They may remove vault mercury now but in return the cosmodrome is returning and we will probably see the return of venus, and the dreadnought. Such a system is good for the long term health of this game. It makes going to places like nessus mercury, mars, and titan, worth it as when they are in rotation and out of the vault they have the feeling of exculsivity and thus make them worth going to which currently they are not. Seriously though grow some mother ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ears and learn how to listen. And if you can't do that learn how to read. Bungie has made it clear no content will be deleted only ever added or vaulted for periods of time. There plans is to make destiny 2 the only destiny you could ever want. To that end there will not be a destiny 3 and all destiny 1 content will slowly but surely find its way into desinty 2. This is fantastic and will improve the game. Yet ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥ like you are likely to ruin that for the rest of us. So please next time you open your mouth to speak make sure what you're saying is acurate and not a load of BS.

they mine aswell be deleting them, you'll probably be able to play an old activity for max 3 months at a time and then have to wait until next year to do it again, can't just hope on do what you want and then get off gotta wait 9 months hoping something comes back
would you rather the game file grow to 200 gigabytes by the end of next year? Don't you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dare say yes

I wouldn't mind, space is cheap, and only console plebs suffer, time to scrap that inferior hardware then.

except Destiny is a console game ported to PC, they're not gonna dump 2/3 of their players to please PC users

They're not removing stuff, they're vaulting it so the games not gonna be stupidly huge. Mars, Mercury and all that are still going to show up on a rotation like they said in the reveal. If the game was 200gb, people would also be complaining

that will never happen. Console will always be number one whether you like it or not it's just a fact

Console gamer's are too stubborn to make the switch. even when presented with every way PC is superior, they come up with some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to defend their purchase.

and that filesize is mostly uncompressed audio, video, textures and texts. REALLY, TEXTS?

probies localization thing, instead of creating specific localization files they just cram everything in, consoles can support that if they are any generation over PS2... bungie doesn't want to tweak they engine ATM because they don't have a big buck studio to cover them for doing their stupid decisions.

They can do whatever they want with the content they OWN. You do not own anything, just a license to play.

I understand your frustration around having previously purchased the expansions but you can't be so angry considering how old the content is. I myself have bought Curse of Osiris and Warmind on both PS4 and PC, and to be honest, those two expansions were destiny's worst. You really shouldn't be angry about this unless it takes you over 3 years to complete these easy raids, get the ikelos weapons (which are now nerfed to ♥♥♥♥) or all the other content. I moved to PC upon Forsaken's release, so I was 1 year back in content but I still managed to play through everything. If I can you should too, it's been 3 years for christ sake.
I don't believe that time should be a factor here. If I want to play the content I paid for 3, 4, or 10 years after I bought it, I should be able to. If it's provided for free, sure, the lord giveth and the lord taketh away. Similarly, if you're paying a monthly service, etc, etc. But, if you're buying content, it's not OK for the content you paid for to be taken away like this, especially when there's no pro-consumer reason for it.

If I'm paying for content with a self-destruct timer, I want to know exactly how much time is on there, before I buy (or more accurately, before I completely disregard the number and buy a better game from a less anti-consumer developer).

You can't really sue them for it or else we would've experience it with other companies. But I'm sick of people saying it's bad because here's the thing, no one ever runs the older content because like a lot of other games with expansions, people are more interested in newer content. They're vaulting it and keeping it on a rotation to avoid the game becoming bloated because no one wants a 200gb game, and seriously, it's not like they're removing content people really care about, it's obvious everything they're removing isn't popular enough to justify keeping
