Auto-aim
Hello fellow guardians!

I've decided to start playing destiny again on the PC using a controller as mouse & keyboard isn't really an option at this current setup (PC + TV).

Is auto-aim not a thing on Destiny 2? I've read a bit online and it appears that Destiny 2 PC does have aim-assist for controllers, but I don't really see it? Is there anyway to enable it? What am I missing?

Thanks in advance.

What? Do I have to unplug my keyboard?

I'll try that.

-Edit- Right so I did try to unplug the PC controllers (m&k) and I've also seen your edit and I don't understand it either. I shouldn't have to "unplug" anything in order for the game to understand that I'm using a controller lol.

I mean, I'm pretty certain that there is no "aim-assist", or it's a very badly implemented one.

Idk...

It's quite brutally noticeable and annoying even on KB+M... Guess YMMV.

Upon further inspection, it would appear that there is aim-assist.

Wonderful. :steamhappy:

Different guns have a different aim assist stat with the highest ones clearing pulling your bullets even with m&k.

The game basically switch from mouse and keyboard to controller aim assist as soon as an input of that device is registered, basically you dont have to unplug anything you just get controller aim assist as soon as you start pushing something on your controller. You can see the difference just by looking at the crosshair that becomes bigger or smaller as soon as you press something.

Thanks for the input everyone!

I was looking for that "snap" feature that I guess I'm more use to using a controller / playing on consoles. I did however notice that there's clearly aim-assist in the game, just slightly different from what I expected. :steamhappy:

Thanks again! :D

There is plenty of auto aim in D2, Just don't use it, you might get banded. There should be aim assist in your settings.

it definitely has aim assist, i use controller on pc version all the time and its exactly the same as the console versions that I also have

when foes criss cross i sometimes lose my primary target as the aim assist drags my crosshairs to the interloper

its a softer more subtle aim assist than the ole call of duty ads to snap your aim to a target

The last word also has some glaringly unfair difference if you wanna check them out.

Controller players get so much leniency when it comes to hip firing the weapon, being able to land headshots while aiming at the lower torso. K&M however is much much harder to land those headshots.
