And on Google they only give advice on how to do the things i search for on console. On PC no.
For a MMO, D2 is the oddest I've played yet as it barely has LFG capabilities and they don't seem to want people to socialise much.
If you want other players to see what you type, then you have to type a code first. The code directs the message to a specific communications channel.
To talk to local players while you are exploring a destination:
- Type "/L" and press "enter". Now your texts should be seen by the local players in your area.
- Type your message and press enter. They should receive your message.
There are also different chat channels, for example, there is an "/F" option to communicate with your Fireteam mates.
Many players don't prefer direct communication, so you may not be successful.
Other players may not be paying attention to their chat box.
Other players may be using headsets, so check the settings to see if there is an option to hear voice chat through speakers.
Hope that helps.
In my experience, I'm the only one who uses text chat during my sessions, I have never heard a voice, and I have never had a text response. Last night I did confirm that others were getting my messages, but they didn't actually talk or type. I told them what to do to activate a Heroic event, and they obviously listened. (I know they got the message because they were not doing the objective before I told them how to do it).
If you are looking for information, then your best bets are the wiki pages for destiny games (destinypedia, destinywiki, etc), user forums (steam, reddit, bungie website, etc), video services (youtube, etc), and lastly utilize all search engines. Every search engine has a different collection of links, so google, duckduckgo, and bing all have different search results. Researching content for Destiny is surprisingly difficult, so good luck.
