Destiny is better than Halo. Fight me!

With Halo: The Master Chief Collection on Steam, and Destiny 2's release in October, the age-old debate of which is better can now commence.

Everybody knows that Destiny is the superior game due to the fact that it's free, has a great and original story, and awesome weapons, locations, environments and more. Destiny also encourages aiming downsight to stabilize your fire, which is something that Halo doesn't have the competence to incorporate. Destiny is also developed by Bungie who lost hope with their dumpster-fire excuse of a game Halo and just handed it to 343 and made their own game, Destiny.

Halo is insanely boring, it's all the same environments, the weapons are all just your typical shotgun, AR, and energy weapon archetypes with no variety in design or functionality. Halo also relies on an engine that's almost 20 years old to handle it's very demanding multiplayer framework, causing much lag and frequent framerate drops, even on Xbox One. Halo was such a failure that Bungie was nearing bankruptcy and sold the mess to 343. The only good thing about Halo is its soundtrack and voice acting, but even these are done better in Destiny.

Halo 2 and 3 multiplayer on pc is a joke, 2 has bxr macro abuse which is pretty much people setting a macro to do the double shoot exploit and can't be fixed for some reason and the hit registration in 3 is broken because it's still designed for 30 tick rate and you have to lead shots.

It's the other way round imo, Halo PvP is mediocre at best and always has been. It's designed as some half way point between arena shooters and military shooters but is extremely slow and every entry revolves around one gun. It's MP fame comes mostly from the fact that it was the only decent shooter on consoles of it's gen for ages. The campaigns on the other hand are always great, while Destiny just has your typical looter shooter spam abilities and weapons fire into enormous damage sponges until they die.

Which halo are we talking about beacuse the last 2 halo games made by Bungie if I remember correctly where halo 3 ODST and Halo Reach. Besides halo wars, halo 1, halo 2 and halo 3, those where also made by Bungie.

Halo (trilogy) is far more influential and iconic than Destiny has ever been, it's not even funny.

As of now though Destiny is definitely more popular and even a better game but Halo's initial influence on gaming is on whole another level.

Because Destiny 1 story was less then bare bones and much of it was hidden behind grimoire that you had to look up outside of the game on a app or website. Destiny 2 main story was just a run of the mill plot.

I will admit that the lore and history in the Destiny 2 universe is great but 90% of it is something you have to search on your own and is in no way shown ingame. The youtuber My name is byf single handedly is carrying the Destiny lore and is fact checking it. Bungie own writers aren't as invested as he is and have made a lot of error in the lore and time line. Bfy pointed out these error and they had to "retcon" a few and even then, the other are just swept under the rug and pretended it never happened.

But halo1-3 has the best story, but only the 3rd have good pvp ...
Destiny 2 have neither of those.. no good story and pvp is unbalanced as ♥♥♥♥.
