Does Cayde return in shadowkeep ? Also I need game buddies

So I’m an old player who just returned to destiny 2 four days ago, I haven’t purchased shadowkeep, so will Cayde come back in this dlc ? If not I ain’t buying it :( stil lcan’t believe Bungie kill my fav character :’(

The guardian Cayde-6 is dead and will stay that way, this season (of dawn) made sure of that.

Cayde-6 will stay dead, however, they did hint at a future DLC where we technically do not hear the last of him. AKA the exo expansion.

It is definitely possible that "they" either have the original people frozen some where or that they have copies of exo minds but the person we knew of as Cayde-6 is definitely gone.

Exactly, the Deep Stone Crypt, or whatever the name is, is on Enceladus. Where all the Exo's dream/where they were created? Don't quote me on that but I think a future DLC would be where we find the Exo Stranger and Cayde, the original I mean.
