If you're wanting to roll an ape melee build, you're going to want to stack stats into Strength so you can get those low CD's. Top tree arc for the ape shoulder charge. You'll probably want to pair it with Dunestriders... or Peregrine Greaves if you're feeling spicy.
If you're more of a support player, Top tree void is going to be what you're looking for. Roll that with the Helm of S14 and your bubble give overshields and buffs. Stat-wise you'll probably want to spec into Intellect so you can use your bubble more.
What I run personally is Middle tree solar w/ Lions Rampants and Strafe lift, spec'd into discipline for nade cooldowns. Rolling this with a gun with Demolitionist perk is great. Really mobile and just all around fun for me in both PvE and PvP
Honestly I say it's just good to experiment and find something that works for you.
Hope you enjoy the taste of crayons.

PvP - PEREGRINE GREAVES with 100 strength, yeet those bastards out of supers.

I also enjoyed using Pheonix Cradle for a while with bottom tree sun breaker which allowed me to burn the world, buff my damage, constantly have my abilities and most importantly share this with my team; the downside is no one cares about your sunwarrior buff, literally no randomer ever stepped into one of my puddles of fire, stopped using it for the doom fang build to just spam bubbles, people care about weapons of light.
Stats? Recovery max and if you have around 80 in each piece of equipment then you'll have everything around 50/70/100/50/50 (example)
I'd focus on recovery and intellect if you're using doom fangs, strength is useless as you won't be wanting to stick your head out to melee everything in high level content, when you get a chance to melee, it'll be charged regardless of your stat, discipline is nice for suppression enemies and giving yourself a break or if you want to overload a champion.
