It's supposed to give the weapon a little aim assist. Meaning that it will be easier to keep the crosshair on enemy, but I personally find it completely unnoticable and therefore useless

So it technically does two things, but only one of those is available on PC.

^^^ They're right, it is supposed to give the weapon increased aim assist, but because aim assist doesn't exist on Destiny 2 PC, it has no effect. This does work on console, though.

HOWEVER, it does have one other effect. In Destiny (and most games) there is something called "bullet magnetism" meaning bullets have a slight tendency to lean in toward the enemy. It's why hit boxes often seem a tad bit bigger than they actually are. The mod increases the effect of bullet magnetism, or to put it simply, slightly increases the size of your enemy's hitbox for you.

Overall, it's good, but I wouldn't call it a must have. The weapon types this mod shines on are hand-cannons and sniper rifles.

Got ya.....also what does the range stat work? Like does it decrease damage falloff?

Actually PC does have aim assist. It isn't as strong as console, but it is there.

Indeed, more range = longer distance before damage falloff. It also affects accuracy, as in the bullet magnetism.

Depends. For handcannons, with a recent nerf to range on handcannons in PvP, range is no longer the meta. A handcannon with 0 range will have damage falloff after 24 meters. At 100 (max) range, it's falloff begins at 28 meters. So the difference between 0 range and 100 range is ONLY 4meters. But since there are no hancannons with 0 range or 100 range, the differences will be even less between any 2 handcannons you compare.

You're better off building for handling or reload speed.

Aim assist in Destiny consists of two parts. Traditional, "sticky aim" aim assist and bullet magnetism. You don't get the traditional aim assist with mouse and keyboard. You do get bullet magnetism with mouse and keyboard.

This!

And, on a side note, Mosley, now that I got a team I got to rank Legend ;)

Its easy mode stat, If you can aim, its completly useless

Avoid it at all costs, heck i think it actually hurts you because of the bullet magnetism increase
This game really needs to remove Bullet Magnetism on Keyboard and Mouse
