How to play Destiny 2 Alone???
I'm actually sick of jumping into missions just to be paired with 2 other random people who are ALWAYS speedrunners. Is it too much to ask to just enjoy the scenery, or to fight the enemy a little slower? like bruh i'm tryna enjoy the game i really am but i'm constantly being put into levels that are already half way complete, or being paired with people who just rush through the level.

Is there anyway to play every part of destiny solo? I didn't waste a week downloading for this sh!t.

Most of destiny can be done alone. Except for raids and high-level activities. Hoping on the PC LFG destiny 2 discord, you can find like minded players that would play anything with you!

I don't actually think the MM in D2 works that way.

Occasionally, when my connection is a bit scrappy, it will take a while to load in which is enough time for someone not slow to already clear most of it.
Or, being a speedy speed boy that doesn't like to waste time, you will load in and immediately rocket towards the objective, because you know what it is and don't need Zavala to tell you for the 500th time, just to realize that the strike in question hasn't even really started because someone is still loading.

You can pick up the Legacy Campaigns from Amanda Holliday in the Hangar of the Tower.

I've been a day 1 destiny and destiny 2 player and I still hate speed runners too. Unless I'm farming nightfall look I like to actually play the game.

Look for other players that want to take their time too. Its Bungie's fault for pairing you with the veteran players that just want to shoot and loot the strikes they've run dozens of times. The game used to have seperate kinderguardian/blueberry match making so don't get mad at the veterans because Bungie forced you to pair up, they are just playing the way they are used to for the past year. You've also got people racing to get the kills to complete their bounties.

They did? I don't ever recall that in any Destiny game.

Players used to start at level 1 and level up to 20, then 40, then 50. There was different levels of strikes for 20, 40, and 50. Now everyone just plays the same strikes that used to be the "heroic" level 50 playlist.

I am often one of the players that blazes through things (though I always try to kill everything, so I'm not necessarily of speedrun tier) simply because that's how I'm used to playing after 600+ hours, BUUUUUT one thing I'd very much suggest: ask at the very start if everyone could take it slow for ya. If you communicate and you're polite there are plenty of us that would be more than willing to do things at your pace.

Granted it's not a guarantee that it'll work, and lots don't speak English (or don't care either way) but for some (such as myself) it's a reminder that not everyone is on content blitzing auto-pilot. And if someone's an ass about it ditch out and queue up again.

Though Bungie desperately needs to figure out a solution for this. Specific queues for specific playstyles (or automated skill/speed matching) is in dire need to keep new players and veterans alike from losing their minds.

One thing is, most people don't pay attention to the text chat and I personally haven't seen anyone using their mic yet in my 249 hours of playtime and yes I do have voice chat enabled.

I rather prefer to manually choice If I want to be quered with people taking their time and with people just rushing through the activity.

True, Theblaze, but you won't know until you try. Definitely don't try to use mics though, since those can be (and most likely are) muted or drowned out by music, etc. While people don't chat very often, that also makes it -more- obvious when someone actually does. It's no guarantee of course, but asking is the only way to even attempt a solution. Especially if you do it at the very beginning of an activity, when there's nothing else going on and everyone is going through the motions to get to the action.

And yes, I'd prefer manual choices as well in terms of queues since I wouldn't always want to play at whatever arbitrary automated tier I was placed at.

Not every part, this is the wrong choice of game if you want that. But, anything that doesn't have matchmaking can be done solo (although, that isn't always wise :-).

You can do the legacy campaigns entirely solo. Also, planet and certain vendor (not strictly PVP based) bounties, lost sectors, patrols, treasure chests (from completing Werner 99-40's bounties), (some of) the current Obelisk stuff, the current baking/delivering cookies (excellent XP and bright dust farming) and even public events. Plenty of stuff you can do on your own and where matchmaking isn't involved.

And you can always make a fireteam with friends. When you all have mics, you can coordinate better. (Like communicating who needs to complete what bounties so others can stand back or help).
