PvP tips?
Yoyo, i need some tips for the Crucible side of the game. To start with i would like to ask which FoV settings people usually use on a 23inches 1080p monitor? Is there anything i can do to match with people who are not actually lagging all the time and make things more stable? Why is Iron banner more laggy compared to Classic Mix? And any other tips are appreciated for a PvP noobie who used to be good at FPS games (relatively).

check out /r/crucibleplaybook on reddit...good tips there.

I don't really have any other good tips, I'm a decidedly mediocre pvp player on an ultrawide who hasn't played with anything other than aim sensitivity.

I dunno about the lag thing, but I believe it's that classic mix prefers connection based matchmaking while currently other modes prefer skill based matchmaking.

HAhahah thats the biggest frustration about this game, i really think like it has a really good potential to be a competitive game but bingu says no.

I was just thinking like whatever you do in PvE side of the game is for making you stronger in PvP. Yet it is obviously not like that. And then i really started spending some time on PvP and i started thinking that i actually have done everything in D2 and PvP is not a good option to waste your time on for D2.

Bungie said no since Halo 2, they cannot balance a game without defaulting to "LETS MAKE LASERS AND EXPLOSIONS HAPPEN EVERYWHERE!" like a bad michael bay movie.

Pathetic. I still can't believe they even couldn't nerf things like Lord of Wolves. I really wanna spend more time while having fun on D2 but seems like the developer don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about anything.

At least 90 is usually a good place to start for 1080, more gives you more view space but can cause a "fisheye" effect.

The lag is playing against players in other counties along with peer to peer system and iron banner being 6v6.

Find the best cheese for you and start from there to git gud.

took a look at your stats "most used weapon:melee",and by a lot too,what the ♥♥♥♥ lol
melee = shoulder charge
grenade = handheld supernova
Cheese doesn't always mean a good weapon. ;-) People are also always getting in your face anyway so might as well punch em, only takes 2 melee to kill or 1 if their "shield" is gone.

i wasnt talking ♥♥♥♥,just thought "woah,thats titan af"...and shoulder charge works?
I wasn't implying you were talking ♥♥♥♥, but even if you were I'll own it because I am a crayon eating titan. :yay:
But yeah shoulder charge counts as melee afaik.

Unless you're a warlock in which case the titan or hunter will punch you twice and kill you before you get a chance for a second attack.

well i know it counts as melee,i was asking if its effective
Well its effective as far as running up to someone and 1 shotting them in normal crucible, if you're a lower power level in iron banner then probably not. The issue is actually landing the shoulder charge and not getting shot in the face but the map designs make it easy to ambush.

play to have fun not to win or else you will want to put something through your monitor. I personally find pvp fun though myself

But it is only fun if I'm winning!

Stick together, teamshoot, know when to avoid fights. If it is IB Capture Points! Watch your radar.

About time BUngO fixed that! Even with my beloved OA I am still at disadvantage.
